Vampire Survivors, the indie mega hit that was finally confirmed for PS5 and PS4 back in April, is still lacking a specific release date. Set for 'summer 2024', the game's been missing in action for a couple of months now, but developer Poncle has just provided a welcome update on matter.
As it turns out, the team's been slowed by PlayStation's certification process. "As we still don't have a release date to share, but wanted to let you know why," the studio writes on social media. "This is the first time we're going through submission processes on PlayStation so it's taking a little longer than usual," it explains. Hey, fair enough.
Poncle goes on to say that it's making sure Vampire Survivors' Trophy list is in working order ahead of launch: "We're also doing some trial and error on Trophies to ensure we get them right." For the record, the title will boast a Platinum Trophy, as was confirmed by the developer earlier in the year.
Anyway, we're sure it won't be long until we get a proper release date. Here's hoping that Poncle can sort everything out with minimal fuss from here on.

Damn..this is not on PlayStation still...I have been playing it on Xbox for quite sometime already.
Day 1. Looking forward to a release date. Getting my vampire fix from V Rising in the meantime.
I can't wait for this! Been playing on my phone for the last few months and I can't wait to use a controller to play this game!
Always happy when devs communicate to let us know what is going on (cough Silksong). This will be a day one purchase when it's ready despite having already played it on Xbox and Mobile.
I have completed this game on both Xbox and Mobile. Will definitely be getting this version and gladly starting again.
day one for me.
i hope the hype survives the wait.
I can’t wait to sink my teeth into this on my PlayStation Portal 👍🏻
poncle. One of the few devs I truly respect. Really funny too^^
Geeze, it's been on Xbox for about 18 months. What's the hold up really - did MS pay for a period of console exclusivity or is the PS difficult to optimise for?
