EDGE, the UK's premium gaming magazine and one of the last bastions of games media in print, has just celebrated its 400th issue. It's an amazing milestone for a mag that's been going for over 30 years. Whether you still enjoy a physical thing to leaf through or simply get all your gaming news online, it's hard to deny EDGE's impact. The fact it's still going despite so many other magazines dropping away is a statement in itself.

For this special edition of the magazine, the cover star is none other than Astro Bot — Sony's cute mascot platformer. To be more specific, the 10 variant covers each feature a PlayStation character as depicted by Astro Bot's universe, ones that are sure to feature in the upcoming game this September. EDGE has shared images of each cover, the availability of each depending on whether you're subscribed and your location:

Subscriber-exclusive covers pay homage to Bloodborne and The Last Guardian; covers available in the UK sport bots based on Journey, God of War, Shadow of the Colossus, and Returnal; and retailers outside the UK will stock mags rocking Horizon, Gran Turismo, Ghost of Tsushima, and Ratchet & Clank bot-alikes.

We love these — not only do we get to see some lovely renders of these cameo bots from the upcoming Astro Bot title, but because it shows off so many of PlayStation's great first-party titles. EDGE will have charted PlayStation's entire history, so it feels somewhat apt to see the 400th issue celebrate both old and new in this way.
