Enrique Cabeza, the art and creative director behind both Blasphemous and Blasphemous 2 has teased some kind of new announcement on social media. The incredibly talented dev has simply posted an image of the Mea Culpa — the playable character's sword in the Blasphemous games — alongside the words "Announcement Coming...". Ominous!
It's possible that Blasphemous 2 is getting a big helping of DLC — much like its predecessor did — but as you'd expect, the tease already has some fans pining for a full-on sequel. We'd be more than happy with either, for the record.
If you're not quite up to speed with Blasphemous, both games are incredibly dark Metroidvania-style action RPGs, packed with harrowing imagery and fantastic combat scenarios. They're excellently crafted adventures, both in terms of atmosphere and gameplay.
