If you're into your horror games, you may be aware of The Mortuary Assistant — an indie adventure title that's been a huge success on PC and Nintendo Switch. Now, it's finally coming to PS5 and PS4, alongside a definitive edition update for all existing versions.

As the name suggests, The Mortuary Assistant has you working a shift in a creepy mortuary, performing embalming procedures on corpses. This is a pretty harrowing activity on its own, but of course, things take a turn for the spooky. As well as completing your grim duties, you'll have to work out what demonic forces are haunting you and attempt to exorcise them, left you suffer a nasty fate. Each playthrough is different, too, so you can't guarantee how things will play out.

The PS5 and PS4 versions launch on 2nd August 2024, when the definitive edition update will also go live. This update adds "new haunts, new bodies, embalming only mode, stability and bug fixes, and more" to the game.
