Assuming you haven't already seen enough of Metaphor: ReFantazio, the RPG just got a fantastic story trailer, fresh from Anime Expo 2024. In it, we get a bit more background on some of the main characters — including the protagonist — and a glimpse of the world-shattering stakes that form the core of the game's narrative.
"Fight for the truth, awaken your resolve, and enter the tournament for the throne," reads the one-line description. We're loving the tension in this trailer, and there seems to be real potential for a cracking character-driven plot.

Time limits aside, that trailer just shot my hype levels back through the roof. That was probably one of the best story trailers I've seen for a JRPG.
@UltimateOtaku91 It's really, really good. I wasn't going to watch it at first but I'm glad I did.
Honestly, I’m not sure I want to play this one (Atlus games are just difficult for me to stick to), but that story trailer looked fantastic. If I don’t sucker myself into the hype (let’s be real, if it reviews like P5, I will) and get the game, I’ll be looking forward to the anime.
Anime stories are always confusing, but my money is on the elves being the bad guys.
I feel like I am in the minority here but this trailer did the opposite of get me excited for the game.
I don't know why...
I loved persona 4, 5, and 3 Reload so I should be excited for this but I'm just... not?
I really don't know what exactly it is but it is not grabbing me.
I'll have to give it a shot on gamepass before I decide if I am going to buy it. Unless the reviews are as good as they are expected to be... then I'll just bite the bullet and give it a go.
Here's hoping it's another banger.
I’m an atlus fan but I’m not exited about this one
Even though I finished P5, those games are just too long just to beat the story.
I would be interested if it was 20-30h for the story only and not 100h
I feel like this game is 9 parts anime and only 1 part fantasy. When the game is trying to sell you on a character's personality by saying "she relishes in eating unconventional food" it makes me feel like they're just randomly drawing anime tropes out of a hat to assign to their characters rather than writing an actual personality.
