Deathbound is an indie action RPG influenced by FromSoftware's take on the subgenre, but it adds its unique spin with the addition of party-based combat mechanics. Using the game's Morphstrike system, players will be able to dynamically transform between different fallen warriors, each with their own skills and abilities.
By binding the souls of the dead, these characters can be used to form a party, and by harnessing the talent trees of each, players can craft a playstyle that matches their own. The setting of Trialforge Studio's creation is described as "a callous world where Faith and Science clash". Inspiration was taken from the developer's homeland of Brazil, evident in its musical stylings and focus on the dancing martial art of capoeira. You can get another look at combat in some previously released gameplay below:
What do you think of Deathbound? Does the concept of switching between varied combat styles on the fly appeal? Let us know in the comments section below.

A capoeira soulslike? Never knew I wanted it, but now I do.
Of all the things to wake up, “Party-based Soulslike” is one of the coolest by far.
Also, could be my overactive imagination but they kinda look like King Arthur and his knights from Monty Python and the Holy Grail when looked at from behind.
@Yousef- I've always wanted a rude bard tagging along while singing about my every misstep in Soulslike games
Kind of reminds me of The Surge in that it may be a little clunky, but it's doing some interesting things with its gameplay that'll be worth a shot.
Ok,why is it exactly party based?,,Fallen warriors" -something like Ender Lillies just 3D...hmmmmm,thats not party based.
I definitely didn't expect this to look that good when I clicked the trailer lol
Definitely keeping my eye on this one
