Sony rarely attends gaming conventions anymore, so it’s something of a novelty to see the platform holder’s ChinaJoy 2024 booth. This video clip, spotted and uploaded by Gematsu, shows how Astro Bot will take centre stage at the show set to get underway from 26th July through 29th July. It’ll be joined by the first ever PS5 demo of open world RPG Wuthering Waves.
The manufacturer’s full lineup, as reported previously, is as follows:
China Hero Project
PS Studios
Third-Party
- EA Sports FC 24
- Elden Ring
- Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves
- Gundam Breaker 4
- Immortals Fenyx Rising
- Infinity Nikki
- Let’s School
- NBA 2K24
- Phantom Blade Zero
- Rusty Rabbit
- Strinova
- Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream
- That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime ISEKAI Chronicles
- Wuthering Waves
It’s likely there’ll be some small snippets of news coming out of the event, so stay tuned next weekend for that. In the meantime, enjoy this video of the booth, which also includes giant promos for Helldivers 2, Concord, and Phantom Blade Zero.

Damn, looks chill as all heck to be around in.
@Yousef- It won't once there's hundreds of people trying to get in. 😂
Any word on Lost Soul Aside?
@jFug They're not showing it in the booth, but there could potentially be news during the show. We'll have to wait and see.
@jFug The devs confirmed they're doing an interview during China Joy. No idea what that will entail, but that's the only info we have, so far.
Very sleak and love the astrobot in the centre. Unfortunately people will be there lol
@get2sammyb darn it, too true!
Looks nice and Sony put heavy focus for Astro Bot which means they really want the game to sell well. I'm not surprised if they target 1-2 million copies for Astro Bot.
@PuppetMaster Hopefully it can do a few million! It'll almost certainly deserve it!
Are they throwing away that astro statue afterwards? Get in touch please Sony.
Cool event, cool presentation, none of those games interest me and never heard of some of them at all I had to look at them and go ah those types of audiences, gotcha.
Well wish them the best either way.
We're getting WuWa!? Lol
@get2sammyb Yeah hopefully. It's about time Sony have new platformer IP that can sold million of copies. I mean, they can't rely on Ratchet alone to fill 1st party platformer slot.
