UK Sales Charts: Hogwarts Legacy Continues Winning Streak Amid Quiet Release Schedule

Fantastic to hear. Such a lovely game; really hope that if there is a sequel (OFFLINE please!), that your main character will be able to travel to London, perhaps even to the other schools.. and perhaps learn Expecto Patronum? That'd be cool.

physical sales charts are pointless doesnt take into account 2/3 of the market which is digital.

Man just seeing the screenshot makes me want to go play it again. Seriously...must get that PC built, get UEVR going, and play this in VR.... It's that rare case of a special game that's just such a pleasant world to be in you don't really want to leave and want to keep coming back.

@Maubari I think London would be pushing it too far in the wrong direction. 19th century London is such a big and busy place, and so "modern" it would really be at odds with the very rustic world Legacy lives in. "Modern" and rustic mixed well for Harry's story, but I think this world thrives in it's quaint pastorial, and therefore mysterious, setting. We don't need Assassin's Creed Syndicate with Wands

@trev666 True, but do any sales charts actually matter at all when most of the actual revenue on all platforms is the same 10 games all the time and even blockbuster release sales are but a drop in the bucket? If we had a chart of "what made the most money this week" every week would be GTAV, Fortnite, CoD, Minecraft, Mario Kart, Apex basically every week forever. No other games would matter. Oh, and Genshin/Honkai/whatever slot machine is trendy this month all from the same studio.

@NEStalgia Oooof, yeah you're right - I didn't think about that haha. What about other schools though? Like Beauxbatons or Durmstrang (I hope I spelled them right)!

@Maubari Yeah, those could be interesting, and is an insight into the rest of the "wizarding world" we haven't really seen directly so it's a blank canvas for the game. And they talked a lot in the firs game about Uagadou which would fit into the story nicely, but I think the entire Africa aesthetic would be as problematic as London for the "feel" of the game. It's probably an art decision time if they want to stick with Hogwarts itself and the whole "too British to be British" vibe, or go on a globe trotting adventure. I think the globe trotting would be interesting, France, Norway, Zimbabwe...but....the whole of wizarding world is so grounded in it's UK traditional fantasy world, I'd kind of hate to see it branch to far out and lose the essence of itself. Only problem is how many stories there really are to tell in and around school. Exploring the school was half the thrill, but that won't work for a second game.

Hogwarts Legacy is one of if not the best 3rd party games in recent years.
Loved nearly everything about it including the combat system which is much cleverer than some made out. My only complaint is even on max difficulty it can get a tiny bit easy in the late game where you can make 15 top level dark wizards look like 15 first years taking on Voldemort.

Also - since last summers patch the framerate is much higher in performance mode (cap off VRR) and easily runs in the 70s / 80s / 90s depending on how complex the area is.

And we have this abysmal failure (SS)
Let's make more of latter!

Doesn't looks that different compare to last week. But i wonder if Kunitsu-Gami will make it to the top 10 chart if it have physical release...

I bought this game without looking into it and I found it to be a big disappointment. It looks great and the combat is serviceable, but that´s about it in my opinion.
I´m by no means a huge Harry Potter fan, but I´ve watched the movies several times at this point.
Why are we murdering random strangers left and right? Why is there no quidditch? Where is the role-playing?
The only risk this game took was JK Rowling riling up the LGBTQ community, otherwise I found it completely bland
