WWE superstars Rhea Ripley, Cody Rhodes, and Rey Mysterio have been announced as the next famous faces to appear in the crossover bonanza that is the Call of Duty series. Available from next week on 24th July 2024 in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone, you'll unlock the Rhea Ripley skin as soon as you purchase the new Battle Pass. Then, Cody Rhodes and Rey Mysterio will be part of purchasable bundles in the premium store.

The two titles will then tie in with next month's SummerSlam PPV, where from 31st July to 7th August, you can "prove your championship status by completing challenges across all game modes to unlock rewards including an Operator Skin mastery reward".

The wrestlers are joined in Season 5 by five further maps for Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer modes, two of which are entirely new. Both selectable in 6v6 playlists, Bait and Yard will be available from the new season's launch day. There will then be another three cel-shaded maps that bring new life to classic locations like Shipment, Rust, and Stash House. A variety of new modes will also be bundled in with Season 5, like a minigame playlist and a WWE-style Slam Deathmatch.

"Wrestle up your finest Finishing Moves in this spin on traditional Team Deathmatch," the Call of Duty blog reveals. "It’s still all about eliminations in Slam Deathmatch, but in this Mode weapons can only down your enemies. To earn points, you must finish off opponents by hitting them with a Finishing Move." The mode is available during the SummerSlam event, from 31st July to 7th August.

Remember that any premium purchases from Season 5 won't carry over into Black Ops 6 later this year, so you can't take Rhea Ripley and co with you.
