Geoff Keighley claims the ever-elusive Hollow Knight successor, Silksong, will not be at Gamescom's Opening Night Live, setting rampant fan expectations in check, if only slightly. Developer Team Cherry "is still cooking," according to Keighley, so we must continue to speculate in agony.
It's been a few years since we've heard anything about Silksong, so it's understandable why fans of excellent, atmospheric Souls-influenced platformers do this to themselves each time another showcase rolls around. Plus, this makes more time for that blowout Bloodborne 2 reveal, right?
Oh well, at least Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is getting a deep dive, even if it has been delayed into next year. Add to that a proper look at Civilisation VII, and this particular scribe will be pretty chuffed, regardless of whatever else is shown.
Are you hyped for Gamescom 2024? What are you hoping to see at Keighley's imminent show? Let us know in the comments section below.

The bait was too believable this time -I
This game is never releasing.
I have a feeling that the longer it goes for release, the harder it will be to meet expectations with this one. I do not envy their position, as much as I’m looking forward to their game.
It's cute how there are still people who believe that Silksong isn't a vaporware.
The PS6 will release before this game.
@Yagami just do the invincibility glitch 😎🤣
I dont understand why that team did not just hire more people.
