We won't pretend to know what most of this means, although 190GB of storage is pretty monstrous.
As well as the PC specs, Sony has confirmed the port will support the following technologies, allowing better frame rates at higher resolutions:
- Nvidia DLSS 3.7
- AMD FSR 3.1
- Intel XeSS 1.3
- Frame generation for all technologies utilizing that feature
It's also worth noting that, to play God of War Ragnarok on PC, you'll need a PlayStation Network account.

They must have the full 4K textures bundled in for the download size to be that big. It really should just be optional.
Otherwise, sounds like the game should easily hit 60fps on my PC, so that's nice.
Despite loving the first I've yet to play this so will buy on release if the port is good.. fingers crossed.
Good lord, the game being 190gb is insanity.
But at least my PC can run the game pretty well.
If someone makes a mod that removes those spoiler voicelines etc I'd be happy to give this game another try
Man… I forgot this was coming to PC. Can’t wait to finally play it!!
@WhiteRabbit “PC crybabies gonna crybaby”
Do your parents know you’re on the internet unsupervised? 😉
@mariomaster96 Hopefully the mod community are on that. Absolutely diabolical to have spoilers. And you couldn't turn them off right?
That's actually surprising how "low" the specs are. I was expecting it to be some ridiculous amount. But holy mother of pearl, 190GB for a video game?! Are they just loading the whole PS5 OS and an emulator in there too?
I notice on the preorder Steam page for this and Lego Horizon Family Sharing is not listed (ubisoft style), while GoT, which ALSO requires a PSN account and all previous Sony games do list support for Family Sharing.
Not sure if that's a limitation of preorders pages and it'll show up after launch, or if Sony is just getting stingier and stingier with each release.
@WhiteRabbit As someone who already owns this and GoT on PS5, and intends to also rebuy it on Steam, and obviously has a PSN account, I'm STILL livid about the PSN requirement. They're getting something out of that requirement, and it's not for our benefit.
@Sequel Nope, otherwise it wouldn't have bothered me
I mean if they made them optional that would have been totally fine but sadly they didn't
@NEStalgia I believe it is a limitation of pre-orders. Games before the release date can't be shared on family sharing. Likely due to reviewers who may have family sharing on their accounts, it would be awkward if their entire family gained access to a game before launch when it's usually under NDA.
@Xeno_Aura I think you're right I spot checked a few other preorders (Indiana Jones, MS, they usually do sharing, LiS Double Exposure, square usually does, and Wukong, and it's all the same.)
Assuming Sony does support it, kudos to Sony for actually supporting it despite having a network login, while EA and Ubi don't.)
Curious to see if this beats ghost to become the second biggest PlayStation PC release.
Jesus now I know y pc players have like 3 or 4 ssd's that storage management gotta be crazy cuz I know I hate deleting stuff and I got good internet but these big ass sizes kinda negates it 😅
My PC is ready for this easily but 190GB of SSD space is such a pain in the arse. My SSD is 2TB and 190GB is a chunk of that gone immediately. Game file sizes are just getting wild.
@NEStalgia It's important to bear in mind that neither Ubisoft nor EA knows that Steam exists, there's merely a singular employee at each company that sneaks the game onto Steam unbeknownst to the rest of the company. That employee is responsible for Ubisoft staying afloat for another 12 months past when they should have died.
@Xeno_Aura ROFL! Someday Epic Store will happen. And NFTs! Those too.
@Deadlyblack I think 190GB is the largest game I'm about to download. Don't think I've come this close to the 200GB mark before.
@WhiteRabbit That doesn't actually bother me personally. I see it as a minor annoyance for the first time I boot the game up but that's it. I haven't played God of War Ragnarock anyway and there's no way I'm going to miss out on it because of a process that will take mere minutes at most.
I know I'm in the minority, but I played the first 4 hours of God of War 2018 when it finally came to PC and noped out of there. It looks gorgeous and I was into the story and characters, but I disliked actually playing it.
I'm expecting a 50k ccu at launch, calling it now. Given its banned in 170 countries and all.
