Bandai Namco has shared a new trailer for Little Nightmares 3, the next entry in the series being developed by Supermassive Games. Focusing on the gameplay between the two main characters, the trailer hones in on co-op as they explore another dark and unsettling world.
The game can be played solo (with an AI companion) or in two-player co-op, on or offline. The video shows off some of the ways you'll need to work together to get through its environmental puzzles, and of course highlights some of the creepy characters you'll have to deal with — a giant baby doll, something with horrible long arms, and no doubt plenty more.
The game is heading to both PS5 and PS4 in 2025. Are you looking forward to Little Nightmares 3? Sneak into the comments section below.

Absolutely yes.
I experienced LN1 and LN2. Both of them was impressinglgy good, of course they’ve been developed by Tarsier not Suppermassive.
However I think Supermassive is literally using the same assets and elements which apparently it’s privileges is belonged to Bandai.
It looks fine.
I’ll buy it but whenever it costs less than 20£
It looks good, but the fact there's no option for couch co-op is extremely disappointing.
@ThroughTheIris56 I think the article mentions off line two player co-op.i hope that is true.
@breakneck I think they meant the offline is with AI. Or they are wrong, because every other source seems to indicate that co-op is online only. https://www.techradar.com/news/little-nightmares-3-release-date-gameplay-trailers
@ThroughTheIris56 oh that sucks. Killed my hype immediately. Would've been fun to play with my brother.
@breakneck I get it. I had the same reaction when someone broke the bad news to me.
This looks good but Reanimal had that difference of personality Tarsier offer that while Super Massive are doing fair it was clear to see the differences between the games.
Still fair. But co-op though hmm, this going to be a Unravel 2 kind of thing and may or may not be that great.
Like sure RE5 is someone of a co-op shooter but a co-op 2D platformer can go either way, especially with horror and pacing, the AI helping or not or teamwork who knows.
Online MP does kill appeal though, even if split screen or not it can't be that hard to do a Lego/Dialbo kind of single screen co-op, Online for DRM nonsense more likely not just oh well people play online more these days. Tell that to people that play It Takes Two or others that play it split screen and get it offline.
Some companies are lazy/don't know audiences or go eh but it's so much work. Tough it may be but who cares about the visuals/frame rate make it happen and think of the audience, them discovering the game, and buying the old ones/future ones.
Like is it that much of a sacrifice. Sigh. Not to mention server costs, that's more expensive in the long term then cut off and a useless feature later then split screen offline will be there FOREVER and beneficial for future sales for later games. Not that hard for me to think that up in a few seconds then server costs are is it and without even doing the math because it's obvious.
Embracer Group bought Tarsier, but left the Little Nightmares IP behind, so they never got to work on anymore of them, sadly. While this looks good, Reanimal looks even better. It's great to see Tarsier finally working again on the style of games they love to make.
