Lost in Random, the cult hit, Tim Burton-style action adventure, is getting a sequel. Named Lost in Random: The Eternal Die, it's being developed by Thunderful (which studio Zoink Games is now a part of) and is coming to PS5 sometime in 2025. Interestingly, the sequel explores a new genre, putting the realm of Random within a rogue-lite structure.
Playing as the Queen of Random, who's been trapped inside the titular Eternal Die, you'll be exploring new randomly generated realms alongside her companion die, Fortune. Your task is to escape from the Eternal Die, battling through each tabletop and board game-inspired environment, and earning upgrades to improve your chances. It's played from a top-down perspective, clearly inspired by the likes of Hades but retaining the cartoonish, gothic look of the first game.
It actually makes a lot of thematic sense to introduce rogue-lite elements to this series, which is set in a world governed by chance and probability. We're intrigued to see how this plays out and how it evolves the world of Lost in Random when it arrives next year.

Lost in Random is a fun, utterly charming game. I will absolutely play the sequel when it comes out.
Played the first on Gamepass. Will play this one there too. The first was a good 7/10 game so I have high hopes they'll improve with the sequel.
Why wasn't this part of ONL?!
The original was very charming and fun to play (albeit a bit undercooked).
Glad it made enough profit to warrant this neat looking spinoff.
I still have yet to get and play Lost in Random, the first game looks really good think itโs still digital only though
Oh wow, that's incredible news! Lost in Random is one of the best hidden gems if this gen. Wonderful design, good enough gameplay, charming characters and interesting story. Go play it, it on a 85% sale on the PS Store right now.
This looks awesome! The first game was great, I thought the card system could have used a little work but the battles were fun. This looks like a great evolution of those battles and I am in day one!
I was excited before I read the preview ๐
Lost in Random is getting a sequel. Cool. Oh, wait, I missed the Rogue-lite part. Never mind. A shame yet another developer feels the need to join in on the Rogue/Souls crazes.
Still have yet to play the first game, but to hear the sequel is a roguelite is disappointing.
