There's a flashing images warning at the beginning of this trailer, but it moves on pretty fast, so we'll reiterate — this is a very flashy trailer. Kill Knight, a twin-stick shooter coming to PS5 and PS4, has a bold style, and that's shown off to full effect as it reveals its 3rd October 2024 release date.
Playing as the titular character, this is a fast-paced arcade action game all about aggression and precision. You make your way through five increasingly challenging levels, wielding various firearms and blades as you fend off hundreds of demons. Though it looks like it's a roguelike, it actually isn't; its stages don't change and the threats remain the same.
There is some progression to be found — as you complete objectives in each attempt, you'll unlock new equipment for your character. Beyond that, though, this seems to be a very straightforward action title, all about skill, survival, and score, with global leaderboards for each level of course.
What are your thoughts on Kill Knight? Will you be checking it out on PS5 and PS4 this October? Let us know in the comments section below.

"Turns on PS5". "Adds Kill Knight to wishlist"
Yes more twin stick shooters please! 😍
That all looks awesome. Especially the graphic design elements.
But only having a flat concrete floor as the locations is a bit of a turnoff. Even though you probably don't realize it when actually playing yourself. Because too busy with the gameplay.
@Quintumply I couldn't help but chuckle like an idiot at that subheader 😂👏🏼
Looks good, reminds me of loaded.
Pretty sure I've developed Epilepsy just watching the first 10 seconds of that
Normally I'd be happy that a game isn't a rogue like. I like a lot of them, but I also prefer handcrafted areas, enemy placement, and weapons.
That said WOW DO THOSE LEVELS LOOK LIKE SOME PROCEDURALLY GENERATED ASS PROCEDURALLY GENERATED LEVELS! Holy crap. Just mishmashes of non-descript tiles at flat right angles. And enemies teleporting in too. Woof.
Oh, also, check out The Ascent if you dig this kind of overhead shooting. It's more an ARPG, but it's absolutely incredible. Gorgeous world, feels great. It's like Dredd meets (dontsayBladerunneryouhack) Bladerunner...
@LikelySatan +1 for the ascent, brilliant game. Also just picked up Akane for £1 odd in the sale, great single screen cyberpunk score chaser slash em up 😀
I'll have this..I obviously ain't ever hoping to get a smash tv remaster so I'll have this instead..
Looks good, makes me want a sequel to Burn Zombie, Burn.
Talked about twin stick shooter, man, i wish Housemarque making a sequel for Dead Nation, Alienation, or Nex Machina. I really love them and still playing them every time i want to play games that are fun but doesn't take a lot of time.
@PaperAlien same. If I didn't have it before, I certainly do now!
@Jrs1 I'll check it out, thanks!
@LikelySatan No probs 👍👍
