Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 developer Warhorse Studios had promised a gameplay deep dive fresh from Gamescom 2024, and it's delivered. The studio's graced us with 25 minutes of footage, which covers so many of the RPG's core systems and mechanics.
We kick things off with a rather mundane quest, before things take a turn and Henry finds himself fighting off a gang of peasants. Then, we get to gawk at the game's lovely looking open world, before our intrepid protagonist explores a large town. Naturally, more questing opportunities await, more combat ensues — with a bit of stealth thrown in — and there's a clear emphasis on role-playing decisions. It all ends with some pivotal dialogue choices.
Overall, it seems as though this sequel is looking to build on the already rock solid foundations of Kingdom Come: Deliverance — and we're not complaining. An expanded adventure that utilises everything the first game got right sounds great on paper.

I cannot play another one of these at 30 frames. Got onto kingdom come 1 late and loved it but the frame rate killed me, I felt like I was playing a BBC drama from 1992. Here’s hoping they have some visual options!!
So even more jank, with updated graphics, Yeah..Im in lol..
I started to watch the video but quickly decided against it. I’m definitely going to play this at some point and would rather not have a moment spoiled.
I just make do with reading about it.
@Colour From this video it looks like it's running at 60 so you're in luck!
@shogunrok any idea if the collectors edition is a digital code or a game disc? ⚔️🔰
Don't want to have to try and force a disc into my digital only ps5 😅
@Ravix Honestly, I'm not sure. I've just checked the press release and it says the same as the official website: the collector's edition includes the "base game" but there's no mention of whether it's a disc or not. Going to assume it is, seeing as the standard edition "base game" seems to be on disc.
@ShogunRok I suppose I could always pre order the digital version to actually play and the collector's edition game can stay boxed or be sold on 🙃
I'm not really one of the collector types, but I feel like there's an empty spot on my drinks cabinet that will definitely benefit from Henry and Pebbles coming to visit 😅
@JB_Whiting Yeah it definitely is, question I have is are we seeing PS5 or PC. Original ran at 60 and looked like a dream on PC as well…
Collector's Edition is Amazon exclusive in the UK, available for preorder if someone interested. Just ordered mine.
@Ravix Amazon exclusive in the UK, I just preordered mine. I'm sure it has physical copy of the game, as I understand the desctiption
@Tatarimokke yeah, I guess so. I don't even know what the console landscape will be in Feb 2025 either, there might be a PS5 Pro disc or digital version, who knows 😅
All I know is Warhorse deserve my money 🙃
I pre ordered the digital gold edition regardless. And if I get drunk enough on savior schnapps I may pre order the collector's edition too, and then closer to the time I'll know which I will use 😅
This looks f**king brilliant!
@Colour yh same, i love the 1st game, but it gets tiring with so slow fps, even now on ps5, might be even worse.
Im trying to wait and hope they patch it, the 2nd game better run smooth, it looks the same almost.
But even then, im not paying much for a 2nd game if i can't play the 1st with an update to make it run smoothly.
I heard it won't have a performance mode.
So no 60fps = no buy
I never got around to completing the first game, I will need to sort that out before getting this.
I wonder if those predisposed to outrage, will try to cancel this one as well. Just another reason to buy it and support the Devs.
