It’s been a bloody good month for PSVR2 announcements, and here’s another one which somehow slipped between the cracks of the Push Square news desk: Alien: Rogue Incursion will attach itself to your face from 19th December. Pre-orders for the Survios developed shooter are available on the PS Store now for $39.99, with a $49.99 Deluxe Edition also available. The latter comes with a couple of Blue Camo skins and other additional content yet to be announced.
Appropriately, pre-ordering either version of the game will net you an Alien: Romulus-inspired weapon and armour skin, which is great if you enjoyed the movie.
“Experience the horror and challenge of fighting Xenomorphs in a world inspired by the look and feel of the Alien film franchise,” the press release reads. “Audio, Visuals, Lighting, FX, Interaction, and Haptics work together to plunge players into the terrifying world of Alien.”
Survios is also really talking up the title’s artificial intelligence: “Xenomorphs can intelligently use the environment to find the best angle of attack and appear from anywhere around you. Playing in VR will test your nerves and skill as you feel the pulse-pounding terror of facing off against Xenomorphs. In addition to weapons and gear, your resourcefulness, quick reflexes, and ability to stay cool under terrifying pressure is needed to survive.”
Have you got the stomach to overcome the impossible odds in this adaptation? Nope out in the comments section below.

apparently the PSVR2 is dead in the water...
@nitram2k11 Pretty good selection of upcoming games for a "dead" system.
I'd really like to play this game but it's about the ONLY game on PSVR2 that holds any interest for me and I simply can't justify that kind of $$ for one game. Maybe I'll get lucky and they'll make a console port of this??
@get2sammyb there really is!
This is, on paper, excellent!
It is going to be great, question is 'how great in this state of business' which can look rough at times with layoffs and strategies of remaking and republishing games across different platforms.
A good amount of polishing and tweaking goes into a true classic, as well as ample content. Behemoth is another example of a seemingly great game for PSVR2.
I love this franchise but I don't know if my heart could handle this in vr, it looks like hypertension: the game.
This is by far my most hyped PSVR2 game. The Alien / Aliens quotes I’ll be muttering to myself out loud with no one around to appreciated them will be off the chain!
Now “Let’s rock!”
(And if there’s not a “game over man” trophy for the first time you die they’re missing a trick”)
So much not for me..... But that stings because it looks like a great use of PSVR and one of the rare things that really shows off the OLED.
@get2sammyb Irony, there's a certain author on this site that misses most of those games on the repeating upcoming games list....at least you know they exist, even if you keep that knowledge private....
@Intr1n5ic I had this exact thought. I had to stop playing Isolation after I did a 180 turn and walked straight into an android. Biggest jump scare I've ever experienced. I had a pain in my chest after that one and muscle spasms in my neck the next day 😂
At least Pushsquare are now doing articles to make up for some of the games that aren’t in their release schedule list…
For this game, no, looking into it I don’t do such intense horror games in VR. Too stressful (Resident Evil isn’t horror, it’s one of the greatest VR shooters ever made)
@Shepherd_Tallon Isolation did a number on me as well. I'm not over the hill yet, but I'm not a young man anymore either 😂
Finally a psvr 2 game I actually will buy day 1....unless it gets absolutely trash reviews
As far as I'm concerned, if I had to evaluate current game playing devices, I rate PSVR2 above both Xbox consoles. I'd rather own a VR unit and a PS5 than a PS5 and an Xbox, just for the greater range of games and experiences.
@DETfaninATL they won't, I'd say pick up a headset on next sale, or if you'd prefer grab a Quest 3, its a little cheaper and will also have the game but with lesser graphics (sortve like a PS5 vs Switch quality). What kind of games do you like? I play alot in VR, so maybe can throw you suggestion of headset games you might not be aware but might like, horror/action wise there's loads.
@riceNpea PS5/VR2 is turning into an amazing combo.
The base console is solid on its own, but the experiences on VR2 are so wild. With the exception of Astro Bot, Behemoth is the most hyped I've been for a game all year.
That "there are no games on VR2" line never carried much weight for me, but the last few weeks have seen so many announcements.
@nitram2k11 it looks great, i have a VR2, but I don't think this game or the other announcements will save it. Let's wait & see I guess.
@Shepherd_Tallon agree on all points
@ThorsHammer That's a solid suggestion - thanks. As far as what I like to play, I'd say, shooters, Action adventure games, Soulslikes, etc. If you really want a solid look, here you go:

@DETfaninATL yep I had a peek, here's some recommendation for you based on genres. I know if you don't follow VR much, the titles won't mean much, but would suggest checking out some reviews or trailers on YouTube (probably the best resource for VR news) to see them in action:
Shooters:
Synapse
Switchback
After the Fall
Arizona Sunshine 1 & 2
Hellsweeper
Hubris
Crossfire Sierra Squad
Pistol Whip
Action Adventure:
Resident Evil 4
Resident Evil Village
Moss 1 & 2
Horizon CotM
Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners 1 & 2
Vampire: The Masquerade: Justice
Vertigo 2
Red Matter 1 & 2
Soulslikes:
Legendary Tales
The Light Brigade
Ancient Dungeon
Upcoming Games You Might Like:
Metro VR: Awakenings
Behemoth
Undead Citadel
Wander: Fragments of Fate
Into the Radius
Hope that is helpful, have fun researching, there's some cool stuff out there.
@Intr1n5ic I would probably just sh*t my pants
@nitram2k11 When it comes to exclusives, it is.
I got the PSVR2 for full price in January and I don’t regret it at all, people said it was dead but look how many phenomenal titles are launching 😮💨
@ThorsHammer Awesome list! Thanks for all those recommendations! Suddenly PSVR2 doesn’t seem like such a useless system…. I will check those games out.
@thefourfoldroot1 Lol! Did you play RE7 in VR, bro? Scariest game i ever played, but this only applies when in VR-mode obviously. Also, definitely survival horror, same goes for RE Village VR but to a lesser extend i guess
@Trousersnake
Oh, I agree, sorry, was focused on village and 4, but yes, RE7 VR is why I don’t consider those two VR horror games. Couldn’t finish it.
