Further light has been shed on the upcoming, excellent-looking Unbeatable, an anime-inspired rhythmic adventure game. It follows Beat and her band as they evade the fun police in a world where music has been strictly outlawed.
On the PlayStation Blog, Wout van Halderen from publisher PlayStack provided a little more info on the game and shared a new track from the band Peak Divide, which provides all of the music for the game. If all of this is news to you, you can check out Unbeatable's announcement trailer from a couple of months back. There is still no firm release date yet, but it's expected sometime in 2025.
Unsurprisingly, Unbeatable has harnessed the power of haptics and will deliver the beat directly into your hands, allowing you to keep your finger on the pulse throughout your playthrough and via adaptive triggers during specific mini-games. The world itself bounces to the beat, and it sounds like we'll be bopping along with the city's own unique heartbeat in no time at all.
What do you think of Unbeatable? Is this the first narrative rhythm adventure game you can recall seeing, or do we need to broaden our gaming horizons? Let us know in the comments section below.

Looks great can't wait
Serious World Ends With You vibes.
As somebody that holds the original FLCL with high regard, I can see what they did there.
Looks wonderful.
Reminds me of No straight roads mixed with Muse Dash.
Looks fab. They dont do enough quirky games like this anymore so im all in day oneπ
I finally got around to playing the utterly sublime Sayonara Wild Hearts the other week β this looks like it might have a similar vibe, gameplay-wise
@yazzika FLCL was immediately on my mind watching this! I'll definitely be keeping this game on my radar.
I'm into this, but we gotta just bring back PaRappa, man. Bring our boy home.
Looks fantastic but I suck at rhythmic games. π’
Added to my wish list.
