The frankly flabbergastingly fantastic Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics will make its digital debut on PS4 from 12th September, with a physical release scheduled to follow on 22nd November. The latter may be worth the wait, as it’ll ship with an exclusive 32-page comic book featuring characters and superheroes from the compilation’s wider cast.
For those of you who missed the original announcement, the package will bundle the following titles:
- X-Men: Children of the Atom
- Marvel Super Heroes
- Marvel vs Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes
- Marvel vs Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes
- Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter
- X-Men vs Street Fighter
- The Punisher
As you’d expect from a contemporary Capcom compilation, each title will be updated with online multiplayer and rollback netcode, extensive training features, and various other features, like a music jukebox and art gallery. Will you be picking this up digitally – or waiting for the appealing physical release? Make a hard choice in the comments section below.

This is one you're gonna want to pre-order. MvC2 stuff is always pricey down the line. Why the 2+ month delay for a physical copy though? Guess I'll go digi and keep the physical copy sealed. Give my kids max ebay potential in 2060
I'll wait the physical copy
Wait...
Wait...
Didn't you just write an article about a Capcom old fighters compilation release!?
I am thrilled that there will actually be a physical edition.
Will be getting both physical and digital version, it's a collection I always wanted.
Physical copy on one console, digital copy on another console for me.
Finally the release date is officially confirmed.
@Mortal Yes, Sammy did. They announced this in June, and now we have the release date for this and another collection. Capcom can't stop with the crazy collections
Ill get digital so I can keep the physical Sealed.
No physical switch version in the UK?
Just looking at the official website: https://www.capcom-games.com/marvel-vs-capcom-fc/en-us/product/#physical
For en us territory, there is a physical switch version and a ps4 version. However selecting en UK only shows the PS4 version. I've taken the risk and bought from Amazon US (even though it's out of stock).
Does this really mean there is not going to be a physical switch release in UK or even Europe? I bloody hope not, but at least I hope I've got my physical copy!
