Amazon Games' upcoming online action RPG New World: Aeternum brings the series to PS5 for the first time in October, but you won't need to wait that long to play it. The publisher has announced an open beta, allowing everyone to get a taste for the game about a month before launch.
You'll be able to fire up the New World: Aeternum open beta from 13th to 16th September. It'll be available in the Americas, Europe, and APAC, and will feature cross-play with Xbox and PC. Participants will get to play the game's opening, all the way through to level 30, giving you plenty to do. Additionally, you'll be able to unlock various rewards as you play the open beta; these will unlock in the main game, but general progression won't carry over.
You'll be able to pre-load the beta starting 11th September.
For more information about New World: Aeternum, you can check out our hands-on preview from Summer Game Fest. Essentially, it's an MMO of sorts, and Aeternum is a new version built to be very playable on a controller, making it feel like your typical action title.
Will you be playing this open beta? Tell us in the comments section below.
