Rumours of remastered Tales games have been doing the rounds for a while now, and one of them's just been confirmed. 2010's Tales of Graces f — originally an enhanced PS3 re-release — is being revived on modern consoles next year as Tales of Graces f Remastered. It's coming to both PS5 and PS4 on the 17th January.
According to the official press release, this remaster boasts "quality of life improvements and additions, downloadable content from the original version and newly localised scenes that will be available in English for the very first time". Sounds promising.
Of course, the hope will be that this is a more impressive remaster than the fairly recent Tales of Symphonia Remastered, which left much to be desired in its updated character models and capped 30 frames-per-second performance.
Are you a Tales of Graces fan? Try to forget about those awful characters and concentrate on the cool combat system in the comments section below.

Always quite liked this one despite not getting too far in to it.
Sadly I have bad memories of Graces f. Finished the full thing on PS3 but found it to be an absolute slog at times because of the characters. Thought they were terrible.
But I'm willing to give it another chance if the remaster's good!
Awesome news but after the disappointing port of Symphonia I will just wait until we get the full details of this remastered version. I really hope is not a straight port of the PS3 version.
Lol last week i booted up my Day 1 Edition just to see if it's still working.
But as much as i enjoyed Graces, i probably skip this remaster and keep waitng for Tales of Destiny and Destiny 2 remaster...
Freakin' finally! This game has remained dormant in PS3 (and the 1st Graces game was on Wii but exclusive to Japan). Glad it's finally getting a modern console port. Hopefully Xillia gets ported as well soon
And a new Atelier game. JRPG fans eating well next year.
Woo definitely picking this up. Can't wait to finally play it. I love me some Tales of
@AndyKazama And a remake of the first Trails in the Sky as well.
My favourite Tales game! Will definitely but this at some point.
@Ainu20 I think it's the one I own on steam and never played 🤣
Man this Direct was remake/remaster central. Neva and Suikoden look good though (I can finally see why old people scream and rant about this series)
If it be like the awesome remaster of Tales of Vesperia I will give a look in the future!! Vesperia was so good it looked and played like a PS4 game!! Loved it!!
The best Tales games is finally getting a remaster
I am looking forward to playing this again and also Nintendo just announced the Trails in the Sky Remake as well 😁.
1. Hope it ain’t a poor remaster attempt like Symphonia.
2. Weird they chose Graces as their 30th anniversary remaster surprise… when 2D remasters are hot fire right now… so they could have at least gave us, oh idk, PHANTASIA.
@thefourfoldroot1 it's not a vita game
Good news here. There are a few other Tales games that are still stuck on old consoles, like Takes of the Abyss, etc. Hope they make it some day too.
Very excited. This is one of my favourites.
I also hope people vote with their wallets and show the desire for more rerelease like this
@saffeqwe
You are correct, I had this on ps3, it was Hearts R I was thinking about on VITA.
Looks like I did the first completion of Graces but didn’t do the second.
I’ve got a real soft spot for this, it was my first Tales game. Plus I loved Sophie cause she was so weird 😄
I’ll definitely grab this, I never got to finish it because my controller started acting up and I just never went back to it. This game has one of my favorite random lines in a game, “Did you just swear vengeance against a door?”
I personally am more pleased with this announcement than the rumored Xillia Reamaster. because Xillia 2 is significantly better. and as far as I know Bamco there will be no Xillia Collection but Xillia 1+2 will be sold separately.
Grace's f is really great. Best combat system in the series but the story and characters are rather lame.
Damn, I JUST replayed it for the 8th time, one of my all time favorites^^ I guess it will be fun to start fresh without everything unlocked from the start. I'm really glad they finally decided to port that game. This was my last reason for keeping the PS3 connected xD
