Can't get enough Tetris? Well, Digital Eclipse is on hand to make sure you never run out. It's just announced Tetris Forever, a compilation of past Tetris titles, and it's heading to PS5 and PS4 later this year.
In celebration of its 40th anniversary, Tetris Forever features over 15 iterations of the timeless puzzle game. These include (but are not limited to) the following:
- An "accurate recreation" of the original version for the Electronika 60
- Tetris (Famicom)
- Tetris 2 + Bombliss
- Tetris Battle Gaiden
- Hatris
- Super Bombliss
- Super Bombliss DX
- Super Tetris 2 + Bombliss
- Super Tetris 3
Tetris Time Warp is also included, a brand new four-player version that swaps between various versions of Tetris in real time.
As well as all the Tetris you can handle, the game includes signature Digital Eclipse extras; it contains more than an hour of documentary style featurettes, exploring the history of the game and the historic partnership between creator Alexey Pajitnov and Henk Rogers.
There's no firm release date yet, but it's apparently due out before 2024 is over, so there's not a huge wait. Are you excited about Tetris Forever? Clear lines in the comments section below.

Saw this on NLife earlier was hoping it was multi platform, Digital Eclipse do some great stuff.
I love these interactive documentary things. Would be nice to include the Tetris The Grand Master arcade games, really love those ones.
I hope Tetris Attack and Magical Tetris Challenge are included.
@nessisonett the first two have been released on arcade archives. I'm not expecting them to appear in this collection unfortunately.
My guess for some of the remaining 6 games is likely to be the other 90s developed Tetris games. Like Tetris Plus, The New Tetris and The Next Tetris.
The licensed games like Disney and Cardcaptor Sakura are almost certainly no goes.
The very rare sega Tetris that was included with the Mega Drive mini seems like a good choice.
There has been countless phone, old pc and portable versions over the years they could do. Tetris Diamond for example has a switch port, it could be interesting to see what they might include.
The brilliant Tetris Party on Wii would be cool but I'd be less sure on that one.
I'd be all over dlc ports for extra more obscure ports but I won't get greedy just yet lol
Would love to see Tetris 99 included 😀
@BlaizeV “ The very rare sega Tetris that was included with the Mega Drive mini seems like a good choice.”
Not the same exactly but you’ve just made me remember Columns on the Mega Drive! I’m sure it was one of three games on the cartridge.
Love me some Tetris!
No 3D Tetris or something else? Kind of boring collection.
Hatris is cool, ok other generic versions of Tetris unless good enough modes pass.
I don't even care for Tetris prefer other puzzle games on PSP 3D obstacle course ones, Cube, Crush, Mercury, Practical Intelligence Quotient 1 & 2, Exit. Or PS1 of Kula World/Devil Dice (and PS2 successor/sequel Bombastic).
