It shouldn't come as much of a surprise (if any at all), but EA Sports FC 24 is, once again, number one on the UK's physical games chart. Unfortunately, the rest of the top 10 is similarly predictable, which largely comes down to a slower pace of new releases, leaving us with the usual suspects.
A handful of Switch software leads us to Mortal Kombat 1 in fifth place, down from third. Up four spots from 10th to sixth is Hogwarts Legacy, followed by Grand Theft Auto V in seventh and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt GOTY Edition in eighth. Things are rounded off with two more Switch exclusives. It's all the big hits, basically, which is fine, but we're looking forward to some new games to help break things up.

physical only sales only chart is pointless when sonys latest figures say 80% of gaming sales are digital. thats a huge amount of the market not accounted for
Games like Rebirth & Alan Wake 2 exist and all people buy is the same ****. Embarrassing for them frankly
@Mikey856 Right? People have no sense of self anymore.. they just buy what their friends buy with no minds of their own, just to be ''cool''. Shameful and pathetic is what it is.
The issue is most gamers are casual players, so games like FIFA (or what was FIFA) mario kart and popular franchises like Mortal Kombat and the Harry Potter IP will always win out. Look on the Playstation Stores top games In your country, it's just FC24 CoD Minecraft Honkai/Genshin etc etc exactly the same. I'd love to see the charts from when I was a little kid in the early 90's though. I'd think it would be a different beast.
Who keeps buying Minecraft and Mario Kart 8 on the Switch? Everyone must have a copy by now?!?!?

Majority of gamers do not come to websites like this.
Its FIFA / Call Of Duty / Fortnite and maybe the odd exclusive for most gamers.
EAFC 24 was free on playstation plus in May. How are so many people still buying it....?
