We now have a release date for the hotly anticipated action RPG Monster Hunter Wilds; the game is set to launch on PS5 on 28th February, 2025. That's not the only announcement Capcom has made recently, however. An expensive Ultra Collector's Edition has been unveiled, and it includes an actual bicycle.
Yes, this edition of the game comes bundled with a foldable bike, which is definitely among the most unusual inclusions we've seen as part of a special edition. Obviously it bumps up the price quite a lot — if you want the Ultra Collector's Edition, it'll cost you ¥165,000 (roughly $1140). If you do nab it, the bike will be sent out separately later than the game itself, arriving between April and June 2025.
Currently, it seems this bundle is only available in Japan, with no indication if it'll be coming to other territories. We think it'll probably remain exclusive to Japan given the costs involved, but you never know.
Will you be looking to grab this ridiculous Monster Hunter edition? Do you hope it'll come West? Tell us your thoughts in the comments section below.

So Capcom are almost literally going to take their customers for a ride?
That’s… expensive. Sort of more justifiable given it includes a bloody bike to be fair.
According to the official PC specs this game will need a 4060 to run at 60fps on Medium settings @ 1080...with frame gen enabled.
This will surely be 30fps only on base PS5 and even a Pro may struggle to reach 60 frames per second.
@Matroska Underrated comment.
@jrt87 I won’t be getting this game but comments like this have convinced me to get a pro. After all the complaining about the pro’s price I reckon it’s gonna be at least 4 or 5 years till they can a get a low enough RRP on a ps6. There’s a lot of games gonna come out between now and then
@jrt87 Yeah, you're not wrong. Those are some lofty recommended specs. Even higher than black myth wukong.
Hopefully they will add a bike in game and make it like Tony Hawk Ride. Even better, add a lance accessory to it and swing it around your living room like a Wii mote.
Will be interesting where CEX are going to place a bike in their stores a few years from now. The glass cabinets won’t be one place it will be going in 🤔
Ahh the old foldable bike eh. For when a quick getaway is needed from that pesky Rathalos.
