Sony’s announced the PS Plus Essential lineup for October 2024 as part of its State of Play broadcast, a little earlier than usual. The lineup of games is as follows:
All three games will be available to download from 1st October until 4th November. You can find a full list of all PS Plus games through the link.

No Dead Space in Japan so we get… Utawarerumono instead. An old “adult tactical role-playing visual novel” game from 2002 that got ported to ps4 about 6 years ago 😅

Dead Space is a big one. And I'm actually interested in finally trying out Doki Doki Literature Club. Good month.
I've always felt like Doki Doki was a mistake to put on consoles. You just don't get that same creepy feeling like on PC.
I played DDLC+ when it released so I don't see myself replaying it again but it was a very good visual novel that is different from others. I never really liked sports games in general so WWE is whatever to me but Dead Space is the clear winner here.
It's a great month. I've been wanting wwe 2k24, and have always been curious about Doki Doki Literature Club. Dead Space is a banger and the remake dials the game up even further. Excellent game, and still gutted EA decided not to follow up on it with a 4th game in the series

Wrestling is a comparatively low priority for me and DDLC is on Switch, but I might just try Dead Spa- never mind.
I bought Doki Doki on Switch years ago and never finished it. Now might be the time to return on the Portal

Really decent month, honestly. I’ve had a few friends talking about Doki Doki recently, so I’ll jump into that.
Dead space is a fantastic offering, had predicted it would be on extra before the end of the year, surprised to see it on essential.
Sick of seeing the same annual releases every single year though, when was the last year we didn't get a WWE/wrestling game? I must have every version of wwe for the last half a decade in my library via ps+ and never downloaded any of them. Add some variety or at the very least, stick them on extra for a couple of months instead of essential, servers usually get turned off after about a year anyway making most of the game redundant.
Dead Space is perfect for the season and I've always wanted to try Doki Doki but never have.
Dead Space was a must-have pre-order for me so I played it when it came out, but what an absolutely AWESOME game, a huge win for PS+ and great pick for October!

This is the best essential lineup in ages! Personally I’m most looking forward to WWE2K24. I picked up last years on a whim having not played a wrestling game in about 20 years and really enjoyed it.
I never did get around to buying the DeadSm Space remake so that suits nicely for Halloween. The other two, meh.
First time in month I will bother to actually download an Essential game

I'm so glad I held off on buying both Dead Space (2023 remake) and Doki Doki Literature Club Plus!
I'm looking forward to trying out both of these eventually, focusing on older backlogged games now.
