Dead by Daylight developer Behaviour Interactive has announced the cancellation of Project T, revealed in May of this year. Following playtesting in July, the cooperative PVE shooter failed to pass the internal risk assessment, and "the outcome of this deep analysis yielded unsatisfactory overall results".

Behaviour broke the news on X with a statement explaining the situation (thanks, VGC). The developer notes that a number of testers expressed appreciation for what they played, but the risk was just too great from "a product and commercial" perspective. Project T was in the early stages of development at Midwinter Entertainment, which was acquired by Behaviour in 2022. The Casting of Frank Stone, another Dead by Daylight spinoff (in collaboration with Supermassive Games), was released earlier this month.

What do you think of the cancellation of Project T? Was this on your radar, and will we see more of this sort of thing in the future? Let us know in the comments section below.
