Microsoft has announced a Partner Preview broadcast, a livestream designed to spotlight titles from third-parties. While the show will, of course, focus on Xbox – it’ll also inevitably include news and updates for PlayStation fans.
Officially, the tech titan is promising 25 minutes of trailers and info, with a spotlight specifically on Alan Wake 2’s upcoming The Lake House expansion and SEGA’s spin-off Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. There’ll also be footage from WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers, and various other “world premieres”.
The show will air from Thursday, 17th October at 10AM PDT / 6PM BST, but if you’re not sure what time that is in your country, we’ve created a handy time zone guide below:
- North America: 10am PDT / 11am MDT / 12pm CDT / 1pm EDT
- UK/Ire: 6pm BST
- Europe: 7pm CEST / 8pm EEST
- Asia/Oceania: 2am (Fri) JST / 1am (Fri) AWST / 4am (Fri) AEDT
We’ll almost certainly work with our sister site Pure Xbox to cross-post a live chat and livestream from this Partner Preview, as we expect there will be interest from PlayStation fans, too. And don’t worry, we’ll post any headlines here in the aftermath as well.

Although they won’t be able to confirm PlayStation releases until 48 hours after the event if previous contracts are anything to go by 😏
@colonelkilgore Duck and cover if Halo Studios announces a Master Chief Anniversary edition for the PS5 using Unreal Engine 5.
Wait, is PlayStation one of their partners in the partner showcase or something?
I really like this format. Make love, not war 🙂 Hope to see some interesting stuff and will be tuning in.
@boogieman117 It’s confirmed it’ll only have third-party titles.
Btw, this fanboy talk about killing Xbox has become exhausting, just enjoy the good games they show.
It'd be pretty cool if we got a new Expedition 33 trailer out of this as well, but Like a Dragon + Wuchang is enough to make me check it out.
Sounds like a great show tbh. Anything with Yakuza in immediately sounds promising
@Gaia093 Expedition 33 is set to get a new trailer this week, on October 16, so it might not be at the Partner Preview.
It's unfathomable that Xbox would be considering PS5 ports of Halo but not Starfield
@IOI yeah you did seem a little… erm ‘tired’ in the comments this weekend tbh 😴
Will they finally reveal Switch 2?
looking forward to their "one more thing" being Halo collection coming to Playstation lol
@Balaam_ No, just people ragging on Xbox for porting.
@Balaam_ Not at all, its just a 3rd party Showcase like Sony's State of Play, which means most titles shown will also come to PlayStation. PushSquare just translates that as plenty of PS4 / PS5 news, something Xbox also does after a State of Play by tweeting which titles from the State of Play come to Xbox.
Silksong has to reappear eventually right?
@pyrrhic_victory I'm ok with that. Halo is a far better game.
Excited for Alan wake 2 The Lake House dlc. 😆
Gimme that Lake House release date. It's supposed to be this month, so maybe it'll drop during the stream.
@IOI oh, sorry for the confusion - this wasn't a direct jab at Xbox. I fully think its not an “if” but “when” Halo comes to PlayStation only because other Xbox IP has come over and a Halo port would generate a massive profit for Microsoft.
"Plenty of world premieres"
Mostly indie titles, the juicy stuff will be shown at Game Awards.
