Metal Slug Tactics Not Far Away with 5th November PS5, PS4 Release Date

Dotemu has announced Metal Slug Tactics is right around the corner with a PS5, PS4 release date of 5th November 2024. A new trailer accompanies the news — viewable above — which reveals three more playable characters for its tactical battles. Alongside the usual digital version, a physical edition is planned, with more news to be shared soon.

The three extra characters you can take into battles are Clark Still, Ralf Jones, and Leona Heidern. Two are returning from previous entries while Leona is entirely new. She's all about "replacing fallen enemies with decoy allies; she can distract and overwhelm enemy forces in her distinct approach to dominating the combat zone".

Pre-orders on the PS Store will likely go live soon, where the following description is offered: "Metal Slug Tactics offers a fresh perspective on the iconic battles of the METAL SLUG series. Lead your squad to victory through strategic guile and superior firepower in a perfect blend of classic action and tactical depth. Unleash powerful special attacks and shape the outcome of each encounter!"
