Remedy has formally unveiled Project Condor as a co-op-focused FPS set in the Control universe, titled FBC: Firebreak. It's a three-player co-op game where you and your friends team up to complete missions set inside the Federal Bureau of Control, which feature "raging paranatural crises across a variety of unexpected locations". It is releasing for PS5 at some point in 2025, and it'll be available as part of PS Plus Extra on launch day. View the announcement trailer above.
"Dive into the Federal Bureau of Control’s (FBC) unpredictable and extradimensional headquarters during its darkest—and strangest—hours," the PS Store page teases. "As one of the FBC’s fearless first responders, you and your team are on call to confront everything from reality-warping anomalies to otherworldly monsters... no matter the odds. Will you contain the chaos or finally lose control?" In a press release, Remedy commits to post-launch support for the title.
Using your own Crisis Kit, you'll put together a loadout before a mission containing the usual weapons and tools you'd expect of an FPS, but then also "powerful paranatural augments, which are strange items with very unique powers that can alter the course of the battle". Remedy sees FBC: Firebreak as an opportunity for fans waiting for Control 2 to try something new, and to get new players on board.
"Though Remedy is known for narrative-driven experiences, FBC: Firebreak is a chance for the team to flip the script and try our hand at a game that focuses on high-octane action in a multiplayer setting," a press release concludes. Will you give FBC: Firebreak a go on PS Plus Extra next year? Let us know in the comments below.

Oooh. Not a multiplayer guy but I'll definitely give it a go!
Wow! Game Pass Day 1 and PS Plus Day 1.
Bold move.
Perhaps Remedy is hoping for that "Rocket League" type success.
Do we know if this has crossplay? Most people I'd be likely to play with are on PC.
The new meta is not to release free to play but "day 1" on subscription services.
This had zero Control vibes at all. They could have called this something else, and i would have never known it was in that universe.
I’m a big fan of Control, so you have my attention. I don’t do multiplayer but I could make an exception.
Is GamePass not getting this also? Remedy snuggling up close to Sony, eh?
@Th3solution Yes it's on Game Pass too.
Just give me the sequel to Control. I rate that game so much more highly than your average reviewer did!
I might check this out because I love Remedy, but it didn’t really grab my attention. That’s alright, though — not every game has to appeal to me. I hope it is successful and reviews well!
Control and AW2 are definitely top 10 all times for me, so I am VERY stoked to give this a go.
@Totheteeth Same! One of my favorite games of the past 10 years.
@Totheteeth control was so good imma play this multiplayer just in case there is cool story connections.
@GamingFan4Lyf I think this is only the second game to launch Day 1 on both services after Sea of Stars.
As someone who just beat Control on PS5 two days ago, this looks frickin awesome!!!!!!
As a Remedy fan. This looks really generic.
Left for dead vibe looks kinda fun il probs give it go
