Remedy has formally unveiled Project Condor as a co-op-focused FPS set in the Control universe, titled FBC: Firebreak. It's a three-player co-op game where you and your friends team up to complete missions set inside the Federal Bureau of Control, which feature "raging paranatural crises across a variety of unexpected locations". It is releasing for PS5 at some point in 2025, and it'll be available as part of PS Plus Extra on launch day. View the announcement trailer above.

"Dive into the Federal Bureau of Control’s (FBC) unpredictable and extradimensional headquarters during its darkest—and strangest—hours," the PS Store page teases. "As one of the FBC’s fearless first responders, you and your team are on call to confront everything from reality-warping anomalies to otherworldly monsters... no matter the odds. Will you contain the chaos or finally lose control?" In a press release, Remedy commits to post-launch support for the title.

Using your own Crisis Kit, you'll put together a loadout before a mission containing the usual weapons and tools you'd expect of an FPS, but then also "powerful paranatural augments, which are strange items with very unique powers that can alter the course of the battle". Remedy sees FBC: Firebreak as an opportunity for fans waiting for Control 2 to try something new, and to get new players on board.

"Though Remedy is known for narrative-driven experiences, FBC: Firebreak is a chance for the team to flip the script and try our hand at a game that focuses on high-octane action in a multiplayer setting," a press release concludes.
