Crow Country, the PS1-inspired horror adventure game, is coming to PS4. It's been available on PS5 since May, and on 16th October, those with Sony's last-gen console will be able to join the creepy fun.
The game takes heavy inspiration from old school survival horror games such as Resident Evil, with its gritty aesthetic harkening back to pre-rendered backdrops from the PS1 days. This retro vibe combined with some modern design results in a great horror title, and perfect for getting into the Halloween spirit.
All versions of the game will be getting a free update that brings four new supported languages — Italian, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese.

my problem with these kind of heavily retro inspired games is that i don't really feel like playing them on a modern console and flat screen, i just wanna play it on a PS1 and CRT, and i have both so get to it devs!
@Ribbitsneed They need to get a PS1 dev kit, pronto!
Also, are we able to claim the PS4 version with our PS5 purchase?
I'm just very grateful that we're finally seeing more PS1 retro-style games now!
8 & 16 bit games have been oversaturating the market for over 10 years and majority of them are boring and unoriginal.
Bring on the PS1 & PS2 influenced games!!!
Wonderful game. Some of the puzzles were a little too obtuse for my tastes, but it is nonetheless a great throwback to original RE style games. More of this please!
For those who enjoyed this I would highly recommend Conscript, Tormented Souls, and Signalis.
@Sequel absolutely a pc handheld game. Best way to play.
Awesome game! I got the platinum trophy for it. As another user mentioned already, some of the puzzles are obtuse, and that is my biggest issue with most survival horror games. Nonetheless, I highly recommend it.
@tameshiyaku I played the game exclusively on my PlayStation Portal and it was the best way to experience it for me. These types of games are better suited via handheld or an old box television, at least in my opinion—but maybe that’s my nostalgic kicking in.
It’s soooo good. Proper love letter to the genre.
It was on my ps5 wish-list, it'll end on my ps4 backlog.
Great game, very much recommend it if you like horror or puzzles.
Any older gamers here who loved the PS1 Resident Evil games should absolutely give this game a chance.
It's literally PS1 Resident Evil but with like Final Fantasy 7 graphics. It's a modern blast to the past in the best way possible in my opinion.
Will pick this up on switch I think looks decent
A great game that is both a homage to those PS1 survival horror games and one that very much stands up on its own
It’s frustrating that they’re adding Japanese when the game hasn’t even released here in Japan yet. In the psn store it’s listed as announced. There’s only a ps5 demo available
This is something I want from LRG with some retro packaging.
