Gran Turismo 7 has just received its latest game update, adding yet more new vehicles and events to the ever-expanding racer. Update 1.54 is available to download and install now on PS5 and PS4.
It's more of the usual, really, though a bunch of new cars to enjoy is always a highlight. This time, we're getting:
- Ford Escort RS Cosworth ’92
- Mercedes-Benz W 196 R ’55
- Porsche 911 Turbo S (992) ’20
- Porsche Mission X ’23
- Suzuki Jimny Sierra JC ’18
It's an interesting mix, with some historic favourites right up to recent concept cars.
A new Café Menu has also been added, this time focusing on some of Ferrari's fanciest supercars.
On top of that, some new race events have been added to the mix, and GT Sophy, the game's advanced AI tech, has now been implemented into a couple more courses, namely Trial Mountain and Tokyo Expressway (East Clockwise).
To celebrate the finals of the Gran Turismo World Series, two new events have been added, allowing you to experience the same races as the finalists. You can earn yourself up to 1 million Credits if you take these on.
Throw on a new featured Scapes location — Colorado — and you have yourself a GT7 update. Will you be firing the game up for these new bits and bobs? Fasten your seatbelt in the comments section below.

This includes the pro update and updates for vr2. Not sure why that isn’t in the article.
Nice addition. Hopefully we get a new track soon
How bout the pro update? Its been advertised as one of the flagship games for pro and still nothing!
@Danloki This IS the Pro update. How Push Square missed that is baffling tbh Fire up the game and see for yourself ✌️😎🤘
@Danloki Nah this is the Pro update. For some reason the Devs aren't really highlighting it.
@DennisReynolds It's started on the PS Blog that this is the Pro patch. At the end... if anyone read that far lol
Edit My bad, it's actually in the INGAME patch notes. Oops.
Edit 2: The Mercedes-Benz W 196 R ’55 costs 20 million. Glad I had 58 Million ingame credits beforehand.
Looking forward to checking this Pro patch, especially in VR. Apparently there is a noticeable difference. I always thought it looked amazing anyway so I can’t wait to check it out later.

Can we have an update to get ride of the ridiculous “invite” system? There’s one car that I’ve been trying to buy for months and months and it’s locked behind an invite. I’m grinding a marathon everyday just to get lottery tickets.
So the pro update isn’t included?
Edit perhaps read the comments first lol
Wake me up when they make the entire game playable offline
@Danloki I don’t understand this as John linneman from DF played the rt mode and said it looked great? . Sure he mentioned the obvs res drop from the native 4k but he said it was fine from what I remember. I’m still at work til 7pm so I can’t test it out yet
@Danloki John participated in a preview event for the media, before the Pro launched.
@Danloki yeah I turned PSSR off, some cars like the new Cosworth look awful with it on but others not so bad. Also RT reflections in race only work with 120hz turned off, so at 120 all PSSR is doing is making the game look worse for no reason and I don't feel the reflections are worth it in this kind of game.
Thing is, in The Last of Us 2 PSSR makes the game look much better than normal, so I'm curious as to why it's not playing nice with these other games
I just tried out the RT and it looks great!. A perfect addition, just turn pssr off in options 😗
@Danloki I tried all the configurations, RT mode, framerate mode 120hz on and off but at the moment I'm playing at 120hz RT/resolution (though it doesn't have RT in races at 120)
@Danloki yeah I've just gone back to 60hz for some more testing. At 60hz PSSR is a weird one, on track I think it looks better overall turned on, as it removes aliasing and shimmering isn't a big deal most of the time, it just seems to be the odd car which can stick out. In the showrooms it does make the game look much worse but you don't really spend much time there.
Playing at 120 just turn PSSR off as it just makes the game look a bit worse all round
@Danloki I think it's one of those where we've been playing in native 4K for some years now that it's pretty noticable when it's dropped to accommodate RT. At 60fps I suspect that the prioritise framerate is likely higher res than the RT/res mode given the RT in races now
