Forensics detective game TOKYO PSYCHODEMIC may have been panned upon its release in Japan earlier in the year, but we’re still intrigued by its PS5 and PS4 western launch. Now scheduled to deploy on 28th November, it’ll be available both physically and digitally on Sony’s consoles.
Here’s an overview of the gameplay for those not familiar with this title: “Based on information of unsolved cases that arrive at the detective agency, you will investigate the various circumstances that may be involved, such as the victim’s personal information, activity history from security cameras, etc. Collect and confirm the information on the evidence board and seek out to the truth.”
There’s actually already a demo for this game available on the PS Store, so if you’d like to try it before you commit to purchasing it, you can do so right now.
Is this the kind of visual novel you enjoy? As we alluded to earlier, the Steam reviews weren’t particularly positive, with players complaining about the user interface and controls. Still, it’s been several months since launch now, so hopefully the developer has implemented some improvements for this console release.

Is this the one that mixes live action with animation? I feel like I played the demo but don't remember anything about it.
Ohhh, not really interested in this, but I really liked the demo for their other game KAMiBAKO - Mythology of Cube -. I'm hoping this being released soon means that will also be out in the near future.
I really liked the demo, but the JP Steam reviews are... not good. Hopefully, the game will have been polished since the original launch.
There's a demo? I'm quite hungry for detective games after finished with Blacksad: Under the Skin.
