Announced earlier this year during the most recent State of Play, Hitman World of Assassination is being brought to PSVR2. Unfortunately, it's been delayed by a few months; initially planned for December, it's now scheduled to arrive on 27th March, 2025.
The game is essentially the full trilogy of modern Hitman titles, and was already ported to the original PSVR. On PSVR2, the title will have a few enhancements, such as full dual-wielding and ambidexterity, giving you more flexibility and control. Active reloading is also implemented, letting you eject old ammo clips and insert new ones, which always feels super cool in VR.
There are other small improvements, most of which are all about more immersive interactivity throughout the game.
While the delay is a bit of a shame for Hitman fans, it'll give the dev team more time "to polish the game" and "add a few extras that we really wanted to include", such as the active reloading mechanic.
Are you looking forward to the PSVR2 version of Hitman? Sneak into the comments section below.

Nice timing for the still rumoured psvr2 black friday price drop.
Happy to wait for a better version đź‘Ť still need to get metro but waiting for black friday.
The PSVR1 version was really fun to play (barring the somewhat lackluster image quality) so I can't wait for this.
Does anyone know if it's a free upgrade / addon?
A little bummed but rather they take their time to get it right, the other versions where flawed (if enjoyable) to bad. Dec is completely stacked for VR anyhow, Aliens and Behemoth are both day ones for me.
@GameOfTheGeneration
It is a ÂŁ8 or 9 dollars/euros upgrade.
@GameOfTheGeneration it's 10 dollar upgrade if you own the existing game.
Well i hopefully will be gettingca VR come Dec 1st if there still on offer so this is great news.
Oops, yes 9ÂŁ or 10 bucks/euros.
Is „Active Reloading“ mandatory? I don’t like this „immersive“ stuff in VR, for me it’s just uncomfortable fiddling, same as swinging the WiiMote.
I want this so badly but not badly enough to actually get PSVR2.
Damn. Forgot about this, I guess a delay can't be that much of an issue!
Still should be worth it. Hopefully. I've until March to recall where I stashed the bloody thing....
Aside from the control scheme, the PSVR1 version was way better than it had any right to be.
The recent Quest 3 version is abysmal.
I just hope they manage to nail the PSVR2 version, they were so close on PSVR1. With the better controllers and raw power of the PS5, they can make this a must have.
