And now I may bite on Sonic. What a deal!
Of course Stellar Blade is on sale now…Oh well, I have a physical copy anyway, which I much prefer.
GTA DE Trilogy is now £21.99 for PS5! Bargain seeing as the PS4 disc version was stuck with no upgrade path.
Got SMTV for $25 on Amazon. I don’t think it will go below that price in the near future! There is also Persona 3 Reload for the same price but I’m reluctant for another Persona game.
Please buy FF7 Rebirth
@Michael2008ish bit rude to talk about the GOTY like that.
Can't believe Sonic X Shadow Generations is on sale already. Might have get it at that price.
@Michael2008ish I agree with @Enuo, everyone should buy the 2024 GOTY.
Not much that interested me this time around (that I don't already own). But snagged myself Risk of Rain 2 at a great price.
But more importantly got myself a physical copy of Gran Turismo 7 locally for $12.99, been waiting some time to get my hands on this one! 🥳
Update: I'll be damned, walked over to my local game shop on my break just as they were restocking...and got my grabby hands on Final Fantasy XVI for $9.99. My poor, poor, backlog sooo bloated. 😁
Nothing there for me, still expensive too at the top of the list.
Hoping for a PS plus sale TBH
I got a physical copy of Stellar Blade for 40% off on Tuesday on Amazon. I'm super excited to start playing it soon!
@Ernimus_Prime There's a sale on PS Plus but I think it depends what tier you're already on.
For example if you're already on premium you get 30% off Premium and if you're on Essential you get 20% off Essential. I'm not sure about the Extra tier though.
@AlexPorto Enjoy! 👏 With all the updates they've added now's the perfect time to jump in.
Not a single game on my wishlist get a discount. Dissapointing. But oh well, i still have plenty of backlog to play.
@MrMagic my Premium ran out today. I'm in Canada, so I hope PS Plus will be on discount tomorrow.
@Ernimus_Prime I just renewed mine after I left you that message and I got playstation stars points for it as well.
I'm UK though so I don't know if that makes a difference or they've brought the stars points back for everyone when they buy or renew their subscription.
EDIT: Okay so I'm daft, the stars points for subs doesn't actually end until March 2025.
My mistake.
I'm interested in Metaphor and Unicorn but I can wait for 40-50%. Kinda surprising that Metaphor is already on sale though. Must've had a strong launch but tapered off fast.
As always, some of these discounts are pretty weak. You can get Sonic for just £4 more on Amazon and that's not a discounted price.
@breakneck It was 45% off on Amazon the other day but sold out almost immediately. There are a few games up there that are newer than Metaphor, I think, like Astro Bot.
@Matroska Astro was september 5th I think Metpahor October 11th.
@breakneck Wow, Astro seems way more recent to me. Time is going way too fast.
@Matroska yeah it's nuts but I think the reason Astro is still fresh is the GOTY talk and speedrun DLC have kept it relevant.
There are some real bargains to be had starting today at Argos.
Astro Bot £43.99
Star Wars Outlaws £38.99
Assassin's Creed Mirage £15.99
Stellar Blade £46.99
The Crew Motorfest £15.99
Dead Island 2 £13.99
To name a few.
Just stocked up on SW Outlaws, Assassin Creed Mirage, Dying Light 2, Dead Island 2 and The Crew Motorfest. Simply because I like to experience these now on the PS5 Pro, and I was eagerly awaiting a sale on them. Outlaws especially since not worth the full price they were asking. With these plus my backlog I think this is it now until next years Black Friday sale.
Yes! I knew waiting for Metaphor would pay off. Wouldn’t be able to if I weren’t deep in Persona 3 Reload at the moment though. At least huge backlogs have some positive side effects.
My Switch from physical to all digital will be complete with this sale.
Virtually everything I have sold is available cheap now and with the extra 12% I'm getting using cd-keys for the ps store credit, these are even cheaper! Good times!
Arizona sunshine 2 for under £20. Can’t beat that.
@DonJorginho
UK here so just shopped up and seen PS5 black Friday deals, starts right now.
PS5 disc £409
PS5 digital £310
Series x disc £460
Series x digital £430, sorry that price is a joke.
Series s 512gb £200
Microsoft you got no chance against those Sony prices. Maybe a few Series s sales.
But as for the big power consoles really don’t want to sell consoles, DO YOU.
It is dam obvious at these prices for Black Friday against the competition
Not much for me tbh but still picked up timesplitters 2 and future perfect for a little over £5 each. Looking forward to the nostalgia.
Tempted by psychonauts 2 and space marine 2 but I know they will just sit in the backlog for ages - must resist!
God of War Ragnarok is 50% off.. might finally play that!
what are your thoughts on the following 3 games:
Metaphor Refantazio, Unicorn Overlord and System Shock Remake
Looking to buy one of these 3 in this sale
What an underwhelming ‘sale’. Was expected a little more off the Cyberpunk dlc, instead of the same 20% every few months
it is a curse to live in europe and have a US account, I need to wait every single time lol.
@breakneck unicorn overlord one of the gems of the year.
Metaphor is also great if you enjoy persona.
Deals are better physical that I can see. Especially argos
@OldGamer999 £430 for a digital series x is laughable man, Xbox really should’ve done some crazy bundles with gamepass, advertise them as cod bundles, that would sell well!
@breakneck Metaphor is one of the best games released this year, System Shock is a stunning remake and if you like Bioshock or
Prey (Arkane) you'll love this especially at the price it’s at!
Unicorn Overlord I’ve not played but seen people loving it so if you’re into those fire emblem kinda style RPGs it could be worth a buy!
Managed to snatch a new copy of Final Fantasy Rebirth on disc for £35, will do v nicely for a xmas gift!
@DonJorginho
We know that and how to promote and sell consoles and GP.
Microsoft know that, they must do.
So that leaves me with the conclusion they have just given on Series consoles and you never know maybe gamepass.
Got myself a PS Plus Premium sub on a discount, and will probably get Alan Wake 2 Deluxe Edition. Not bad.
I really hoped for a bigger Baldur's Gate 3 discount, but that game seems to be holding value long-term better than gold.
Ohh man there are some tempting games on this list but I have so much I am half way through at the moment and very little free time. The main temptations are System Shock, Metaphor, Sonic superstars and Pacific Drive.
@Victor_Meldrew it was the only title I was looking at getting if it dropped lower than before. But it just stays at the 20%.
I’ve still not player Cyberpunk main game, so I can wait a little longer
Pretty weak sale. Literally doesn't differ from any casual sales.
Maybe I expect too much, but I think there's not much on here that's a genuine bargain, which I guess saves me money.
If I'm not buying a game at £70 then it needs to at least half price before I consider it a deal and none of these seem like a Black Friday bargain, it's just another sale like they have all year.
Case in point is Dragons Dogma 2, which has been at that price for many weeks, there's no special deal here. I did buy it last week as if you shop around for your psn credit it works out cheaper and I paid 27.80 once you factor in buying cheaper PSN credit (I bought £40 PSN credit for £34.99 ).
I miss the days of genuine huge bargains on Black Friday, now it's simply a sale like there is on any other day.
Have to agree with everyone, VERY underwhelming. I’ll still grab Stellar Blade since I already waited this long but I’ll hold out for a deeper discount on some other 2024 releases. Bummer.
Wake me up when disc drives are back in stock 👍
This is perhaps the worst Black Friday sale that PSN ever had. With exception of handful games, these are same games that have been on better sales in the past
Black Friday has lost its meaning pretty much everywhere now. They do Black Friday for an entire month and the deals aren't better than regular sales. Oh well.
@Bentleyma £29.99 physical on Amazon
Amazon has Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth for $24.99 USD for Black Friday Week. And the Metal Gear Collection for $18.99.
God of War Ragnarok and Diablo 4 with the expansion for me.
@ChimpMasta I am also quite tempted with the new patch now. Just not sure, if they play well overall nowadays.
If you want a ps5. Best place in UK is very 400 for disc console, BUT if you are a new sign up (use a family member) you get an extra 20% off and pay over 6 months.
So we are getting it for £320. Forgot to check it on pro!
I grabbed Alan Wake 2 Deluxe, Assassin's Creed Mirage and Zombie Soup all for 50% off or more. Will keep me busy til Xmas.
@PsBoxSwitchOwner
I have only good experience with Very.co.uk.
When we had a PS5 shortage, I was able to buy one for me and one for my friend. And they sometimes the cheapest options for specific items too.
But games-wise, I usually end up buying from Argos. They are a great price; if you spot some real deal on time, I can collect it locally.
Last year I got, for example, God of War Ragnarok for £35 and Ghost of Tsushima for £30. Even the second-hand market was higher than that.
@silverspeed yeah we are buying for one of the children.
Astro bot, sm2, Sonic, disc console and that comes to £405 with discount.
In the US, all major stores have a lot of very good deals on physical versions of recent games, around -65% on average. For people full digital, enjoy the PSN “sales”, lol.
Just bought physical copies of Silent Hill 2 and FLINTLOCK: The Siege Of Dawn yesterday, but I saw a game I've had my eye on for some time now drop just below $20 US so I grabbed ROBOCOP: Rogue City this morning in this sale.
Trails series is on sale!
Bought 4 PS5 games, all of them were cheaper to buy physically. Really hoping the next gen doesn't get rid of disc drives...
Good thing there isn’t as much this time around. Have enough to do as it is!
Already put GoWR, Kena, The Quarry and Robocop in the basket. Now just waiting till payday so I can buy a cdkeys top up card, get all the games listed above and still have $20 left for any future purchases.
@WaveBoy To each their own 🤷♂️
I’m gonna try to hold tight on a lot of things since while some deals are tempting there are games I know I will definitely not play for months, so I’d rather save the money for the moment.
That said, things I’m giving strong consideration to:
Alan Wake II Deluxe Edition for $49.99
Palworld for $22.49
LOTR: Return to Moria for $14.99
Things I am tempted on but will probably hold off on:
Stellar Blade, Baldur’s Gate 3, Dragon’s Dogma 2 Deluxe Edition.
I’m sure I’ll end up convincing myself to buy something unexpected too.
Happy shopping all!
@WaveBoy you're allowed you're own opinion, even if it's wrong
Just bought Silent Hill 2 and Stellar Blade. Probably gonna grab a couple more. I’m gonna be eating good this holiday season 🙂
Smyths are selling Jedi Survivor for £17 and Sonic for £30, both cheaper than the ps store
