It’s been a good year for survival horror fans, whether you’re playing remakes like Silent Hill 2 or all-new adventures inspired by the 32-bit era, like Crow Country. There’s also been a steady stream of retro goodness added to Sony’s flagship subscription service PS Plus Premium, with Dino Crisis added just days ago.
And it looks like there’s more on the way.
PSDeals scraped Sony’s servers, and uncovered a listing for an emulated version of Alone in the Dark 2, as spotted by Gematsu. There’s a 7th November release date attached, but we doubt that’s accurate; instead we imagine it’ll be included with the next PS Plus Premium drop later in the month.
You can already play Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare emulated on PS5 and PS4, so it does feel like THQ Nordic is willing to make these games playable on new hardware.
Originally released all the way back in 1993, and ported to the PS1 in 1996, this is a pretty archaic game by contemporary standards. That means you should expect some truly horrifying controls and some dated game design. Irritations aside, though, it’s great to see these classic games made easily available to a modern audience, and we sincerely hope Sony continues to add to its growing retro library.

Not into alone in the dark, hopefully we get some more good premium games this month.
Where the hell is the original Silent Hill? It blows my mind that this classic still isn't available.
@AlexPorto Bro where the hell is SH1?
@AlexPorto didn't Konami lose the original files or something weird like that?
Just make sure it's got trophy support. They shouldn't be releasing anything on premium without full tropht list day 1
