Single Player Western RPG from Lies of P Pub Will Be One to Watch on PS5 1

Korean publisher Neowiz demonstrated its commitment to interesting ideas with the excellent Lies of P, and it’s just signed a deal with Polish start-up Zakazane to publish its new single player western RPG.

The game’s said to take place in a remote mining town, where you’ll assume the role of a sheriff tasked with solving a case that threatens to unsettle the local community. It’s being worked on by former CD Projekt RED and 11 Bit Studios talent, among others.

CEO and founder Jan Barkowicz said: “We found a great understanding of our vision with Neowiz, who got excited about our debut title the minute we showed them the demo. In conversations that followed, they never tried to steer us away from our principles but rather to make sure we stick to our guns. It’s clear both sides understand that games can become important to people on a personal level, making them both valuable works of culture and good business.”

Neowiz’s Seung-Cheol Kim added: “When we first met Zakazane, we felt an immediate kinship around their passion for developing projects that profoundly captivate audiences. Their upcoming neo-western RPG will be a key addition to our portfolio and reflects our ambition to build lasting franchises across PC and consoles. Together, we will create a brand that unites quality and storytelling for gamers to cherish for years to come.”

Obviously it’s still extremely early days, with just the single piece of embedded artwork shared publicly thus far. Conceptually this sounds great, though, and we’re excited to see how it evolves over the coming years. This will definitely be one to keep an eye on.
