Two new trailers for PS5 gacha sensations Honkai: Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero were released during The Game Awards, although for some reason Chinese juggernaut HoYoverse has failed to share the videos on its official channels.
Nevertheless, we’ve sourced a couple of mirrors for you to watch.
First up is a new look at Honkai Star Rail’s anticipated v3.0 update, which will bring with it a new planet named Amphoreus. As has been teased before, this appears to have an ancient Greek theme to it, with some truly lush looking locales.
The other trailer for Zenless Zone Zero introduces New Eridu’s celebrity singing sensation, Astra Yao. She’ll feature in a future update next year, kickstarting a brand-new story for the urban fantasy RPG. The character is kinda giving us Robin from Honkai: Star Rail vibes, so expect her to get her own original soundtrack and more.
Honkai Star Rail’s latest update deployed on 4th December, leading into the aforementioned Amphoreus storyline. Meanwhile, the next major update for Zenless Zone Zero is scheduled to release on 18th December.

Amphoreus is looking like a really cool location. It will be nice to go somewhere new. It looks a lot more lush and varied than I was expecting.
So the whole Pearlman story will conclude and a new story starts anew with zero connection to the previous one? Are they going to continue the mystery of where Fairy came from and the Victoria Housekeeping connection with their secret employer? What does it mean "a brand new story" in the context of this game?
@Callmegil Yeah seems like a lot to conclude in a single chapter. This game actually got me pretty invested in this plotline but if 1.2 and 1.3 are any indication it seems like they're gonna start rushing through it. Which is a shame.
Not a Honkai player but the first time I saw that new location I'm like - isn't that Rinascita? What's going on 🤣
@Kingy I think 1.4 will conclude the whole story with Sacrifice and the whole coverup. But maybe the story with Fairy and the other AIs will be the next arc.
@AdamNovice Maybe. Judging from the stuff they showed in the 1.4 presentation trailer they're gonna involve not only Section 6 but every previous faction too. 1.2 could barely handle its own self-contained story, so I'm worried we get another one of those scenarios where we get like an hour's worth of overworld dialogue placed between a handful of five minute combat missions.
They really ***** up the pacing by ripping the exploration mode out of the story, and idk if there's been enough time for them to make a proper engaging replacement for it.
Not good for the story or the gameplay experience.
