It's that time of year again. As 2024 starts to wind down, the official PS Blog has begun its public voted Game of the Year awards, and voting is now open.
You can have your say across a total of 19 categories and polls, voting for all your favourite games you've played throughout this year. All the usual categories are here, like Best Art Direction and Best Soundtrack, as well as some other fun ones, like Best New Character and Best Use of DualSense.
As far as we can tell, Silent Hill 2 seems to have the most nominations, appearing in eight categories. Just under it are the likes of Astro Bot, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Metaphor: ReFantazio, and Stellar Blade, each with seven nominations.
Balatro looks like the most nominated indie game overall, while Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is nominated in Best Graphical Showcase as well as Best Expansion, where it arguably belongs.
Voting is open now and will close on 13th December, so you have about 10 days to make your voice heard.
Which games do you want to see walk away with some awards from PS Blog? Discuss in the comments section below.

Astro Bot Surely !!!!
My answer is always; did a Yakuza/Like a Dragon/Judgment game release? If so, GOTY.
Just voted. Astro Bot had better win at least some of them.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth hands down!!!
Astro all the way. Rebirth started great and then became a slog for me.
stellar blades my goty though still making my way through the backlog (astro, space marine etc)
Best games of 2024 (and beyond) were Hellblade 2 and Neva.
Gave my votes to Astro Bot, Helldivers 2, Kunitsu Gami, Team Asobi, and Ghost of Yotei
Astro Bot for almost everything. Most hyped for Yotei since I still think GTA 6 may be delayed and feel the same for DS2. Stellar Blade when Astro wasn't an option since it was the only new release I liked this year so far other than Astro Bot.
As much as I love FromSoft games, there’s no way in Izalith they qualify for ‘Graphical Showcase’. Art direction is distinctly different than ‘wow this game has great graphics’, and all FromSoft games only qualify in the former, not the latter (excluding the Demon’s Souls remake which was a Bluepoint joint).
Art direction in Souls games is second to none, but any individual asset is rather mediocre when examined independently against the whole.
My answers for most questions are cycling among Astro Bot, FF7 Rebirth, Stellar Blade and Metaphor Refantazio.
Astro Bot is easily my game of the year!
Astro Bot without any shadow of doubt.
It's the best 3D platformer that wasn't made by Nintendo that I've ever had the pleasure to play
If anyone can back me up on this it'd be appreciated, but I could've SWORE that FF7 Rebirth wasn't in the Best Soundtrack or Best Story category, and now it is. Even in story, it's at the bottom of the list even though they're all in alphabetical order.
It'd be pretty funny if Rebirth got so many write-ins that they added it to the nominations for some of the categories.
Feels like I basically voted Final Fantasy VII, Astro Bot, and Balatro a bunch of times for different categories.
My choice:
BARBIE: PROJECT FRIENDSHIP PS5
Thank you to Outright Games for providing this girlie game on PS5. 😊
The lists are generally alphabetical but they put Animal Well at the bottom of the Indie list. Would have been a major mistake to miss it
Concorde, by far.
Stellar blade ❤️
