Some things in life are inevitable — death, taxes, and PS Store sales. Sony has already lined up its (presumably) massive January sale, and while that won't properly get started until after Christmas, PS Plus members can now browse and buy a selection of games that are due to feature in the deal.
If you've subscribed to PS Plus at any tier, you'll have early access to a handful of PS5 and PS4 games in PS Store's January sale. There are dozens of titles included in this preview of the wider sale, so let's take a look at a few highlights:

- Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden - £24.99/$29.99 (50% off)

- Dead Space - £17.49/$17.49 (75% off)
- Hogwarts Legacy - £16.24 (75% off)

This early look at the January sale is only available from now until 20th December, and then the full sale will go live after the holiday.

My PS+ expired on the 4th December after umpteen years since the PS3 days and I can't say I'm missing it so far. These titles aren't going to make me rush back.
Nothing for me here but I did just pickup Hitman in the current sale in preparation for it's PSVR2 mode next year
I'll get tekken 8 once all its afterbirth and entrails have been out a while.
@sanderson72 I joined PS Plus a few days ago and I'm still a little overwhelmed by all the games I want to play (I'll probably finish my first game Until Dawn tonight). 😅
Grabbed Yakuza: Like a Dragon, no brainer for £8
Not a single one on the wishlist so nothing interesting
@carlos82 which Hitman is getting VR?
They should discount the sub... I was on premium until two days ago, for more than 2 years, but they don't let me use the black friday offer, and so far this year seems there is no december offer...
Nowadays, for me sales are just indicators for potential near future ps+ essential/extra titles. No sense in buying anything anymore, they have a tendency to put things on sale just before bringing them to ps+ and there's a good chance the game you want will eventually come to the service in some form and if it doesn't, there's plenty of others that do to play instead.
None for me. Beside, this month i already bought two games; Apollo Justice collection and Okami HD. So i'm not gonna buy more games until i finish both games.
@Pondo320 the whole campaign of Hitman World of Assaination, which is basically the recent Hitman1-3
@Rebusmind @sanderson72 Perspective is a magical thing. It's like the kid entering the candy store excited versus the one that just ate a kilo of sweets and swears off sweets forever.
If you haven't subscribed to these services for a while, or it is your first time, then the sheer wealth of games is astounding. Feast and enjoy! But when you have been a subscriber for years you've probably played all the games you REALLY wanted to play and were going to actually get around to. At which point it's only the new games coming into the service that keeps you hooked, or not.
Neither view is right or wrong, just coming at it from different angles.
@Dimey Same thing. I added a couple of $ to get some DLC (business management mini game with a new playable character and 2 new jobs). I’m about 50 hours in this game and it is extremely good. Being sold under $10 is a steal, it is worth much more. Can’t wait to start Infinite Wealth!
Snapped up Veilguard for £35. Merry Xmas to me!
It just shows you where prices are at these days when £35 is actually 50% off
@themightyant I just used it for online play, such as ESO. Obviously lost access to that at the moment and the 'free' games have been somewhat disappointing.
Only other useful feature is PS5 game save backups, on account of Sony being too tight to allow USB backups (but do still allow PS4 backups??)
Might re-sub to Essential if there's a new year discount but not holding my breath. Was on Extra (after a weird £5 upgrade fee for almost 18 months of my remaining sub) but barely playing anything on that as I've been hanging around on PS + for almost as long as it's been around and buying games I'm interested in.
