We've had our eye on SPINE for a while now, and it's still showing plenty of potential in this brief new glimpse at gameplay.
Announced about a year ago, this is a stylish arcade action game that combines martial arts with firearms, or Gun Fu as it's become known. Set in a cyberpunk world, you play as Redline, who uses a new combat implant to take down the villainous Tensor Corporation.
It looks as though levels and scenarios will play out from various angles, and that you'll be able to use spray paint to your advantage mid-fight.

The game looks super slick, and we're very curious to see how it actually plays, but there's real promise here.
There's still no date down for SPINE, but you can wishlist it on PS Store.

I am pretty excited about this one. Whether it winds up janky or not, I will play it, as Wanted: Dead did a great job with gun fu. Highly underrated game that wanted a certain playstyle from people, and I think when most couldn't solve it, they wrote it off as poorly designed. I think this will risk the same trappings, but I will be there to play it Day 1.
Oh aye this looks like ma kinda shiite, last great game i played like this was midnight fight express which was superb 👍
I’d forgotten all about this tbh… was a pleasant reminder as I think this could be right up my street.
Reminds me a little bit of Remember Me.
@ErrantRob I quite enjoy wanted dead. I'd really like a remaster of WET as that was bloody good fun as well. This looks like it could be good fun as well.
This actually looks a lot of fun! Am I the only one getting NieR vibes from the gameplay? (The mix of third person / side scrolling / top down… and even that slow-mo dodge / backflip). Or am I just so starving for a new NieR game I’m seeing it everywhere? 😅
@ApostateMage That was such undervalued game it's a pity that they can't market games.
@Northern_munkey That would be so cool if they would rerelease it just a simple remaster new textures and resolution and FPS.
@Flaming_Kaiser 👍

I like Wanted: Dead quite a bit as well, even though I'm not very good at it. Spine is definitely one I plan to buy on launch day.
Looks interesting but combat feels like they need to speed up a bit.
I had completely forgotten about this. Hopefully it turns out to be as good as it looks in the trailer. As long as the gameplay is pretty fluid, this could be what I hoped Sifu would before learning that one was brutally difficult.
