The team behind iconic PlayStation titles ICO, Shadow of the Colossus, and The Last Guardian is making a new game for PS5. The project is tentatively titled Project Robot, and we've got a brief in-game trailer to get us hyped. It's about giant robots, apparently!

It's probably going to be quite some time until we see more of this one, but until then, let us know if you're happy to hear that Fumito Ueda is back in the comments section below.

How did Last Guardian getting delayed from PS3 to PS4 not have this company dissolved? I know Ico and Colossus have a following but I’m seriously impressed they haven’t gone under.
What happened to the game he was making for Epic Game Store?
Can't wait to see what it is! I love his games.
And...since it's being published by Epic Games, it will most definitely have a PC release.
This is by far too of my most wanted list. I thought it was going to be exclusive to Epic Gane Store but glad Epic are allowing it to be on console too.
I thought that studio went under when The Last Guardian took longer than Duke Nukem Forever to make. Looks cool!
I have loved all these games. The atmosphere, the story elements you have to piece together... beautiful!
There is still hope for video games after all!!
The Ico iconography took my breath away
@rjejr they certainly have a history of doing this, even ICO was originally developed and announced for the PS1 before moving to PS2 due to hardware limitations.
All in all, I think it’s wild to think that after exactly 10 years from the infamous Project Robot showing on Wii U, we will actually get Project Robot, but as a Ueda creation. I just hope it won’t be moved to PS6
Very powerful teaser!
It seems like video games have a chance after all.
Gurren Lagann meets Shadow of the Colossus?
Hell yes. I've been waiting along time for something from Gen Design! Very exciting
For folks who didnt know, Ueda left to form genDesign (the only reference for the studio name is in the tags, not the article.) When Ueda was finishing off The Last Guardian he was an independent contractor, and not a Sony employee
Sign me right up!
Cannot wait for this, sooo happy we finally got a look!
When dreams come true... this was a pleasant surprise to wake up to. I predict it will be a PS6 launch game at the earliest though.
@oc1d agreed 👍
@Stragen8 For even it's pereceived flaws, The Last Guardian is a beautiful and emotionally impactful game. Duke Nukem Forever was a mess.
Epic Was funding Fumeto Ueda's new game and it was supposed to be an Epic Game Store exclusive. So I am wondering what is going on fully. No matter, it is without a doubt my most anticipated game.
Don't think they going to repeat same history/mistake again imo. I don't think it sold well enough previously to justify delaying to do cross-gen.
Mostly I'll give is a year before next-gen on 2026. Otherwise my interest and time will be lying elsewhere until it goes on sale 😐
I can't believe the amount of good announcements at this year's TGA. We're actually getting another Fumito Ueda game, holy *****.
The jank is visible in this trailer, I love it.
