Sifu developer SloClap appears to be teasing some kind of announcement for tonight's The Game Awards.
Over on the social media nightmare known as X (and more commonly known as Twitter), the studio writes: "See you @thegameawards. Expect to be surprised!" Cheeky.
Sifu released in February 2022 on PS5 and PS4, and SloClap's been supporting the superb action title ever since. It's gotten a slew of major updates over the last couple of years, transforming what was already a fantastic tribute to martial arts into something really special.
Which leads us to the immediate question: is this Sifu 2? Well, we wouldn't want to get your hopes up, but as mentioned, it has been almost three years since the first game dropped — a game that's been an impressive commercial success for the developer.
Sifu's also got a Secret Level episode, but it'd be weird to further promote something that's already available.
Given that this is surprise is happening at The Game Awards, we're inclined to believe that it'll be a fairly big deal. The good news is that all will be revealed later today (or early tomorrow, depending on your timezone!).
Would you love to see Sifu 2? What else could this be about? Break some bones in the comments section below.

@Rambo-kind This isn't a competition — X is just abysmal. I'm not even on Bluesky!
The Secret Level episode is already out. You can see the whole thing now if you have Prime. It’s very good
@Rambo-kind Twitter is the social media equivalent of three drunken hobos on a park bench with a bottle of White Lightning, shouting and sh*tting themselves
Sifu 2: The Sifual
@Gremio108 sounds like u have been witness to some fun times 😅😂
I'd love to see it but that'd be one hell of a turnaround. 2 years while supporting the first one isn't much time. I'm not getting my hopes up for it, I think it's more likely something else they had cooking already alongside Sifu that was in an early stage of development.
Sifu2 despite loving it feels unnecessary, but a martial arts focused game for sure.
I wouldn't be surprised if Playstation partnered with them again for their next game considering how big of a success Sifu was. That would be cool to see.
@Drago201 I grew up in Blackpool so that was an average saturday night to be fair
@Gremio108 honestly that sounds like fun 😅
