The final project from the late Coffee Talk creator Mohammad Fahmi has made a date with Valentine’s Day, as slice of life rhythm adventure game Afterlove EP will launch for PS5 on 14th February.
The game – set in Jakarta, Indonesia – will depict the difficulties of a young musician, struggling to move on with his life after the sudden and tragic passing of his girlfriend. You’ll find a blend of visual novel, narrative adventure, and rhythm game here.
Here’s the official blurb: “Rama’s band has a critical gig in one month’s time. Either he gets serious about his music and delivers the new songs he has been promising or the band will move on without him.
“Over twenty-eight days and nights it will be your choices that determine the path Rama takes. Explore the city, choose which relationships to repair, and which new ones to pursue. Come to terms with the past, rediscover your creative voice and help Rama shape a future for himself.”
The game features the style of Indonesian artist Soyatu and the music of local indie band L’Alphalpha. You’ll also be able to explore a relatively realistic manga-style interpretation of Jakarta through side-scrolling segments.
This game looks like it’ll appeal to fans of games such as A Space for the Unbound and anime like Bocchi the Rock. Will you be giving it a go?

Wow this looks great of the game. Day one for me to play that.
Clever! I had to open the article and read it to get the game’s name. Because the article’s title is not that helpful.
That's great news! The game was announced a very long time ago, I really believe very close to the release of the PS5. Mohammad Fahmi's sad and unfortunate passing surely played a role in that, yet it is great that this final project will be released soon.
The way the characters noses are designed is so off-putting to me.
