Just as a new batch — and the first of the year for 2025 — of PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium games arrive, the Last Chance to Play section of the service has been updated to reveal what titles are departing next month. Leaving on 18th February 2025, as per the Japanese PS Store, the PS5, PS4 games set to be removed are:
- The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition (PS5)
- Tales of Arise (PS5, PS4)
- Tales of Zestiria (PS4)
- Tales of Symphonia Remastered (PS4)
- Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition (PS4)
- Outriders (PS5, PS4)
- Scarlet Nexus (PS5, PS4)
- Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition (PS4)
Should the UK list throw up any differences once it goes live on PS5, we'll update the above. Even if you have the game downloaded past the expiry date, you'll still lose access to these titles from 18th February 2025.
Next month's lineup of departing PS5, PS4 titles is clearly very RPG heavy, meaning you may need to pick and choose the games you really want to play most if they're in your backlog — you almost certainly won't have time to get through them all. All the Tales games should set you back a good 40 hours at least, and while The Outer Worlds is on the shorter side for the genre, it's still a decent commitment.
Are there any games here in your backlog, and are they are now being bumped to the front of the queue? Let us know in the comments below.

Some big ones here. The Outer Worlds is a big one for me. Was on my backlog to jump on.
Every time I see a PS+ Premium article announcing new games, I wonder if I should have kept my subscription.
Fortunately, these articles always come along a couple of days later to remind me I made the right decision.
Thank the Lord I already got the platinum in Tales of Arise, DLC included!! That's the thing with PS+ Extra, the games are there, but they will leave eventually. Specialy RPGs with their long playtime. Good that I started it when it entered the service.
That's a LOT of RPGs... and a couple of shooters.
I was somewhat interested in Arise, but not interested enough to play it this past year that I’ve had the opportunity. 😅
I believe Scarlet Nexus was also given out on Essential, so many of us will still have access to that.
Was hoping to get to Zestiria eventually. But at least it goes on sale often enough for super cheap. One day I just really gotta commit to getting it
Outer worlds and scarlet nexus too
Never played a single one of them..... Nor do I intend too
Might have time to squeeze in Outer Worlds before it departs. I’ll begrudgingly sacrifice a platinum run to make it quicker. Tales of Arise and Scarlet Nexus I’ll pick up on sale.
As part of my decision to drop the Extra tier on PS+, I decided to invest in games I knew I had wanted to play, so purchased them up cheap during the sales. Feel happy-ish that I did, but it's still not that great for people waiting to play it on backlog. That I suppose is the downside of subscription.
As an aside... I get to rejoice that Outer Worlds will likely remain in my backlog for another couple of years... but at least I know I don't need to sweat it.
Most of these games aren't really for me, so I'm OK with the list. Arise I've tried and it didn't quite click, Outriders is just plain bad in my opinion. Outer World is a good game, but it has been handed out for free before on other available platforms (arguably more fitting for an FPS), so not a huge deal.
Downloading Scarlet Nexus right now.
I subscribed to the most expensive tier just to have that yellow plus sign next to my profile name but I don't play any games from it so this does not concern me
I’ve become accustomed to using the sub service catalogue as a backup, and still purchasing games that are high priority. Of the 16-18 games I play per year, 8-10 of them end up being PS+ games. So the service is still worth the investment, yet I also buy games.
Already saw the signs when they started bundling up Arise + Nexus lately.
Going to be a busy month speedrunning them both. gulps-
🤬
🧘
with a sub service play the games when they get addded because you have no idea when they will leave
The outer worlds is surely the only one most will miss. If you havent started the tales games by now, you were never likely to imo. I played Scarlet Nexus for about 30 hours and lost interest - starts good but went nowhere for me.
Damn it, I thought Tales of Arise was a PS+ Essential title. Now I’m gonna have to pull out my disc when I replay it 😭😭😭 Yes, it’s a lazy man problem but… I’m lazy.
Scarlet Nexus is a lot of fun. Story isn’t anything special but the combat system is fast enough to have a blast with over time. I believe that game was on PS+ Essential
The Outer Worlds ran like total doggy doo on the PS5, such a disappointing port.
Tales of Arise is gonna have to wait.
Thanks for the heads up! I just started Outer Worlds Spacers Choice Edition over the weekend.. I played the original on PS4 years ago.. I played on normal mode and never got the DLCs.. having a good amount of fun with it on hard mode.. I need to pick up the pace I guess lol
I'll see if I can get through takes of arise and scarlet Nexus. Bulletstorm should be a quick run if I feel like it. Though once February comes around I'll be too busy with kingdom come 2, Monster Hunter Wilds and Civ 7 to worry about any other games for a long time.
PS Plus has become such a joke. The good games are slowly but surely leaving the service and the additions are just not worth the money. Glad I unsubscribed last year.
@MrPeanutbutterz it's fixed now
No interest in any of those RPG but Outriders is fun.
I think Plus is a great service, just an evolving list of games to try that you otherwise wouldn’t spend money to buy. For someone like me that likes to try a lot of things and never goes back to something I’ve already played, it’s awesome.
Oh, I had just downloaded Outer Worlds, to play on Portal, but don't actually need to begin a new game. Worth a priority bump?
I just started Tales of Arise, but I should be able to finish it before February 18th. I was actually surprised it was still available. By the time it leaves, it would have been on PS+ for basically a year.
Bulletstorm is absolutely one of the most fun and criminally overlooked games I think I've ever played. If you're a fan of FPS games and haven't played this, do yourself a favor and play this before it leaves.
Arise and Scarlet Nexus both suffer from "but wait there's more" insane plotting. The core premise of each game was interesting enough. The mountain of half baked plot twists scuppered the second half of each of them.
@Darude84 does it matter if the games are there or not if you never play them? i keep seeing people say , " i was planning on playing that game some day" , when games have been on there for months and months , that person hasn't played any of those games but are still upset that its leaving even though they will never play it.
@themightyant Outriders often felt like an RPG to me
@twitchtvpat I’m not sure we’re talking about the same thing here. My point is that the additions don’t have the quality of the games that are leaving, so that the platform slowly loses its value.
