PS Plus Subscriptions on Sale, Up to 35% Off

Again the locals ger nothing. Even if they did you could only get a six months discount for a deal price would be nice

Well seeing as they don't ever throw Premium members a bone. I'll be dropping to Essential come March and waiting on a sale like this for Premium. I'll stay on Essential until I can get Premium for a discount.

As someone who has a huge backlog of unfinished games, I personally don’t see the need to upgrade.

For “only” $15 more than yearly Essential I can get a year of Deluxe, but nope, not falling for that, I’ll only resub once I can’t get it at $40 a year like we used to.

You'd think the most loyal would get rewarded but nope, they're treated as piggy banks.

Don’t need more than Essential. How about a discount on renewals, like they used to do?

Extra has been worth it for me. Premium has been a major letdown. I’ll be tiering down to Extra once my stacks expire in like ‘28 or whatever

Beware, it’s a trap! You get acess to dozens of games you are not really interested in, while your backlog of untouched purchases remains untouched. And after some time, your dealer wants you to pay the full price.

I'm dropping it altogether I'm moving house soon and I don't know when the PS5 will be back out because I'll have to much sorting to do so if rather save money from it.

Bought a year of premium, £6.50 a month is insane value for money.

It's times like this that make me extra glad that all the free to play games I play are free to play online as well, or I would probably be playing a whole lot less of them, if any.

No discount for Essential? sigh...if only PS+ isn't a requirement to play online. Mine already expired 6 days ago and i want to resub just to play SF 6 especially with Mai coming next month.

Not checked this. I'm a premium member for my sins. 35% discount sounds like the price it actually should be, especially for premium, which is imo a piss take.

Yeah but thats the same as every company. Phone bills, Sky, virgin media etc.... Theyre all the same. They only care about enticing new customers in to the fold and screwing the existing loyal customers.

Mine is behaving really oddly. I have a rolling Monthly Extra membership. It won't let me upgrade to an Annual Premium Membership at all. The only options are to upgrade to an Annual Extra Membership (no discount), or a Monthly Premium Membership (saving 35% for the remainder of this month only, for a grand saving of £0.16 and then reverting back to full price next month).

Anyone can confirm if the offer applies if i let finish my current before the offer ends?

I'm currently on Extra which also expires on 31st January.

There is an offer there for me, I can upgrade to premium for the remainder of my subscription meaning I can having it for 27p instead of 43p for the 8 days I have left.

It doesn't give me an option for any discount beyond when my current one expires.

If I could renew right now for year at 35% off Premium then I'd definitely be interested

My Extra sub is expiring on 8th and I won't be renewing. It was either cancel this or Game Pass Ultimate. And GPU is just way better value. But if Sony will give me bigger discount for 12 months, I will probably reconsider.

Dropped off from Extra at the end of last year and was going to renew at Essential level but, in the end, I couldn't be bothered and can't say I'm missing it.

My PS4 Pro has a tiny USB stick in one of it's front ports for backup purposes. Can't do that with the Tub o' Lard due to Fony not introducing the ability to backup saves to USB.
Was interested to see this until I realised that Essential wasn't included...

Seems that I cannot prolong existing Deluxe subscription at a discounted price...

Having had a peek at the PS App,& will politely skip the "generous" $3 odd to upgrade to Extra or $4+ for Deluxe for the next two weeks,I note thereafter both are still very much full price, nevermind that Essential is $96 my region.😔

There's a few games I'm annoyed I'll be locked out of eg:Beyond Two Souls despite having bought it again via the Heavy Rain compilation, Days Gone,& the Oddworld Abe's Oddysee remake among others not having a second version you can choose to buy on PSN, so they're tied to PS Plus only.

Although I may well get Essential again at some point,that ever since Jim Ryan era management introduced the tiered levels & nixxed buying PS Plus subscriptions in Bricks & Mortar retail,they have killed any of the traditional discount periods for Essential subs with it! 😕

Clearly not affecting their bottom line that much,but given I rarely played online & used Plus more for the occasional extra discounts on PSN sales,(& i suppose technically cloud save storage),just don't find any incentive to renew given they clearly don't care to do discounts for Essential users these days.😑

I've been happy enough with Extra but will probably downgrade and wait for a discount. But yeah, they need people to inside – already a paying customer? Not so interesting to them. Too bad.

I've never felt the pull to sign up for anything more than essential, but for under 15 quid 'til June I figured I should at least have a look... Not gonna say it was a waste of money, but most of what I would give a go I already own! (and apparently I own a digital copy of Bloodborne, somehow?)

I'm going to upgrade to premium tomorrow for the Resistance and Ratchet and Clank series'.

The one major flaw with Sonys ‘offers’ on PSN is for me to get them, I have to cancel my monthly subscription, wait for it to expire, then try and buy it again with the offer. Crap really.

@linkandnavi No Sony won’t let you do that. Good isn’t it? Just another mess up they’ve made.you have to cancel and let it expire before changing to a new one and by that time I expect the offer will be gone.
