We love a good tycoon game but pair it with a story-driven RPG and our ears prick up immediately. Rockbeasts looks to blend the best of both, delivering a kind of fly-on-the-wall documentary about a group of anthropomorphic musicians who rose to stardom under your tutelage.
As manager, you’ll be making decisions that affect the success of the group, their sense of unity, and even the type of music they make.
The press release reveals: “The road to success is a tricky one, and being a manager is a complex task. Will you help your band become rock rebels or sellouts? The choice is not always easy. Rockbeasts is set in the 90s United States, a time of grunge rock, raging capitalism, and music television.”

You’ll need to prep your band, convince them to practice, and ensure they’re always ready to perform. You’ll also need to scout venues, prep the sets, and make sure each and every performance goes off without a hitch.
You can check out the trailer embedded above for a better idea of what to expect, with a PS5 release date expected at some point in 2025.

Goodbye Volcano High and BoJack Horseman in the same game, what is this, a crossover episode?!
Feel like we had this sort of indie multiple times already.
Oh gosh, please be good. Trailer looks promising!
@Hyena_socks Is there any link at all to Bojack as visually they are borrowing from that very heavily. I was wondering if it was the same artists or something.
This specific blend has been seen more than once to the point that I question whether indie devs are just statistically more likely to have this fetish.
@Ilyn I’ve no idea I’m afraid, just visually reminded me of it a lot.
Love the era and the music, love BoJack, little bit crap that they have totally ripped off the BoJack art style, as confirmed that the BoJack peep isn't involved in any way.
Hope this is as good as it looks!!
@Ilyn confirmed that it isn't... just 'inspired' by
