Announced at PlayStation's latest State of Play, it looks like we'll be getting much more information on Digimon Story Time Stranger next month.
The creature-collecting RPG will feature at Digimon Con, which is happening on the 20th March. It's a digital event that'll be streamed worldwide, although it is a Japanese broadcast, and so the timing might be a bit awkward depending on your region.
Here's a quick date breakdown from the official site:
- Thursday, March 20, 2025 at 12 p.m. JST
- Thursday, March 20, 2025 at 3 a.m. GMT
- Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 7 p.m. PST
- Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 10 p.m. EST
As you might expect, Digimon Con covers everything Digimon, across anime, toys, trading cards, and more. But the aforementioned site specifically mentions "updates" on Time Stranger — which, the site reiterates, is still targeting a 2025 launch on PS5.
It's possible that a release date is incoming, and we wouldn't be surprised to see it get some proper gameplay footage.

Digimon > Pokemon, there I said it.
@Oram77 easy I dont get why more people dont think that it's way better 😭 literally 💩s on pokemon. Digimon world 1 and 2 on ps1 were amazing games aswell 😎 can't talk for rest as went Xbox 😅 but survive it's great too 😎
@Oram77 not gonna disagree, but I have loved pokemon since I was a kid and now my kids are into it. Not gonna lie, I haven't watched much Digimon anime, and the only game I'm played properly is the original Digimon world on the PS1, which admittedly was one of my favourite games as a kid. I also gave Survive a quick go but never got onto it fully. That being said, I really want to get into Digimon more, and this game looks fantastic, so I might have to get the kids to watch some of the original series with ne
The trailer in the state of play for this was so exciting until she uttered the word digimon lol
