Update []:
An update on Level-5's upcoming RPG, Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, has teased news about the game's release.
On X, the developer's CEO Akihiro Hino made the following post:
"Regarding FANTASY LIFE i, there has been a slight delay in the release of major news due to various factors, such as compatible platforms and new hardware," it reads, likely hinting at the already-rumbled PlayStation release (details below).
Hino also says the game is shaping up to be "an outstanding RPG" with improved visuals and "significantly more enjoyable" gameplay.

With the game (briefly) appearing with an official PS Store page, all we need now is the proper announcement. We all know it's coming, after all — perhaps this is being queued up for the supposed State of Play later this week? We'll soon see.
Original Story:
It looks like Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, developed and published by Level-5, is en route for PS5 and PS4.
The game, currently only officially confirmed for Nintendo Switch, made an appearance on a short-lived PS Store page, which went live briefly but has now been taken down.
This was spotted by the eagle-eyed Gematsu:
According to the page, the game is set to arrive on 23rd April 2025.
This will mark the debut of the series on PlayStation, as previous entries have only been released on Nintendo devices and mobile.
Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time is an adorable life sim RPG in which you must travel back in time to gather resources, then go back to the present to develop your island home. We've popped a trailer at the top to give you an idea.
You can swap to various roles, or lives, in order to focus on different things, such as mining, carpentry, fighting monsters, and so on. It bears a resemblance of sorts to Animal Crossing, only with a little more action.
Presumably an announcement is just around the corner — we'll update this article if it's all made official.

Been looking forward to this one for a long time. Playing on PS5 would just be the icing on the cake.
They can barely get it out on the switch as it is 😭. But this would be very cool. Maybe they could also port the 1st game? I've been meaning to play it, but at the rate in which I play my 3ds, who knows when I'll get to it
I guess we can assume this was the reason for the delay(s).
Now the delays make sense, I think il get the PS5 version then as it will look better and perform better.
Now there's a chance the new Professor Layton will come to Playstation as well.
I previously joked that this game got delayed to become a Switch 2 launch title. I was hoping that’d be true, while not the most graphically intense game I’m sure load times would benefit from a generational upgrade. Now… I’m kind of disappointed that isn’t the case unless they accidentally leaked the Switch 2 launch date.
@Wilforce The Switch 2 doesn't get a proper showcase until the 2nd April so I doubt it will launch 21 days later. I don't doubt there will be a Switch 2 version of this game though.
Fantasy Life + trophies. The whole package.
@UltimateOtaku91 Yeah, hence the reason for my disappointment for an earlier launch. I doubt they’ll release a version for the Switch 2 if it’s releasing initially on the original, though it may see some performance enhancements.
The first one is an all time favourite of mine but I’d probably be more up for this on a handheld rather than on the telly!
This pretty much confirms it. Yes it appeared by error, but there wouldn't be any page that could appear by error if the game wasn't coming to PS5/PS4 at all. I am glad, I am not getting a third party game on Switch or Switch 2, performance is *****.
WHAAAT...!!! 🤯🤯🤯
FANTASY LIFE ON PS5 ??!! 😃😃😃
I will get the PS5 version instead ! 😄
Please the physical release for both PS4 & PS5 version!
I would love this. Loved the first one so if it does happen, count me in.
I rebuke you in the name of video game Jesus, Animal Crossing, and all your infernal minions.
Sorry, ad to get it out of my system but that seems like great news for those who enjoy this kind of time sink!
I'm more interested to see if it comes to PC.
Still got this on my 3DS. Another Level 5 gem.
@ApostateMage This is a brand new game not the 3DS one.
Man, I would love if they dropped exclusivity for Professor Layton. I really don't want to play it in the underpowered Switch, that I don't even remember where I stored it.
Still havent played the 3ds one yet but I plan to in due time hear its really good
I love Level 5's art style. Even Jeanne D'arcs limited cutscenes are great.
@belmont I would love to play the Layton games on Playstation. The last time I played them was on the DS.
