HBO has now confirmed its TV adaptation of The Last of Us will return for a second season on 13th April 2025. Looking to cover at least some of the events that take place in The Last of Us 2, three new posters have been revealed to mark the occasion. They feature Joel, Ellie, and Abby along with an "every path has a price" slogan. View them all below:
A few trailers and clips taken from season two have now been posted online, depicting early shots from the game that have been adapted for the popular TV series. These include Abby in the hospital — whom TV viewers will have no idea is yet — Dina and Ellie dancing in the barn scene, and Ellie again as she's about to kill Nora. Also included are what look like entirely new scenes designed to expand the story beyond what's included in the game.
Are you excited for the first episode of season two on 13th April? Let us know in the comments below.

Gonna be great! Now gimme Factions, please!
Abby's poster is kinda cool.
Man folks that have not played the TLOU 2 are going to be gutted!!!! LoL
Nice to see they went with the date that everyone already predicted, the Sunday after season 3 of White Lotus ends, and not being like - well everyone already thinks it’s this date so let’s release it on another. Yes, I do think companies can be that petty sometimes.
I’ll probably binge it all the last week of May. Now that Facebook suspended my account- probably hacked, and Twitter is an unrepentant cesspool, I shouldn’t have to worry about spoilers too much. Might be a good test to see how popular Bluesky actually is though.
Definitely gonna watch it, loved the first season and am glad they added new scenes not from the game.
@AhmadSumadi Absolutly not. Even thought its pretty much completely finished we had no idea that it would require people to support and maintain it. You get NOTHING good day sir.
When ellie is thicker than abbey lol.
@OMG_Waffles I never even thought about that scenario. Chances are what you are referring too doesn't happen so quickly in the show. If they are doing 4 seasons it could not be til sometime in season 3. Pedro is too much of a top billing kinda actor at this point
Anyone up for some golf?
Looking forward to it, and it will be very interesting to see if they change some of the main story points of the game this season.
Kaitlyn Dever would've been a much better Ellie.
Wtf is wrong with casting in Hollywood? XD
Pushsquare.. shame on your for not making these sweet poster downloadable. Now I gotta look for them elsewhere
@Athrum Abby is just a cool character, it seems to be taboo to compliment her after the whole golf club incident, but people seem to forget that her father was murdered, wonder what they would if they were in her shoes...
Can’t wait for this!!
The first season did a poor job at adapting the first game. I just couldn’t warm to Bella or Pedro. Both were miscast.
I might check out season 2 at some point (if reviews are positive) but I’m not invested in the show at this point.
It says a lot about Season 1 that the best episode which also won awards was a minor ret-con expanded to a full story with the main characters barely in it. I like Pedro and Bella. But they are not Joel and Ellie to me. Abby seems to be going the same path. Hopefully she's better.
Except for the first episode, I thought the series was terrible. None of the characters reflected their in-game counterparts. It was short, rushed, bland, and I could go on. The longest episode was a completely irrelevant gay drama that had nothing to do with the story. Bravo. Thanks, but I'll pass on the second season.
Seven family members will be ready for the show to start on April 13. Including 2 Granddaughters and one Great Grandson.
They really can't follow the game closely for this one, it just wouldn't work for tv so it will be very interesting to see how they approach it. what they add, what they leave out, what they change and how they reorder stuff.
One thing is for certain, there will be a vocal moaners galore regardless, can't wait for that...
