I was hoping they'd fix a minor quirk where a point of no return message pops up about a certain side quest but it's actually locked out a few quests earlier than that. Well, you can start it but there's a room that becomes un-enterable.
There was also an issue with the hermit quest where he would become hostile during a fight. Took around 10 tries before he chilled out 😂
Overall it's been smooth sailing though. Especially compared to other games of its size and the first one. I can forgive a few blips when it's as grand as this.
Biggest pet peeve is when opening up the map, it quite often ends up in the top left corner.
JCBP.
I'm still getting the flashes even after turning on motion blur so I hope this patch addressed that too. I've had a couple crashes and I ran into the bit with Pavlena referenced in the notes. Overall, it's run really well but I welcome any improvements.
@Oram77 I hate that. But R3 centers the map on Henry so it's a quick fix.
@Loamy this totally derailed my potential for platinum i think, i was bummed and its too late now
@Alps_Stranger the flashing is ridiculous that should be priority one
My PS5 has shut itself off numerous times whilst playing KCD2. I don't think it can handle the awesomeness of Henry.
I had a few flashes happening early in the game and got stuck in geometry once, besides that, smooth sailing.
A huge technical improvement over KCD 1 and an overall better game.
For a sandbox game it is remarkably stable.
So far all I had was:
Flickering issue especially at the very beginning on the shields.
Sometimes you can get stuck on the terrain.
One time I had the 'get out' hare icon stuck on screen and had to hard restart the game.
A certain NPC stuck standing at a campfire. He is permanently stuck but it happened after the quest and after I learned all the skills (I think).
@ApostateMage Sounds like built up dust on the honeycomb plate inside. A really common problem - for some reason they made it with tiny, sparse holes. Take the fan out and use something like a paintbrush to remove the fluff from within 😊
@Logonogo is there a trophy for that specific quest or completing all quests? I didn't want to look at the trophy list in case of spoilers. Ill happily play it again but I've put down the game thinking it might be fixed soon... maybe not.
@Loamy Yeah, it's due a clean to be fair. Cheers.
@Loamy I believe you have to complete almost all side quests including specific ones but I have not dug too deep into it either! There is also one for not eating any meat or killing any animals so my run was actually likely ruined far earlier
Considering the amount that's going on at any one time, and the things the game has to compute, its astounding it runs so well, applauds to the play testers, bethesda take note, starfield was a total mess at launch.
I am playing Avowed at the moment but after some more patches on this i might give it a try. I like RPG’s in the winter when i tend to stay indoors more as i hate the cold weather. I want to finish Avowed as it’s a truly special world to roam around in. Graphics are nice and the balance mode running it at 40fps seems to be its sweet spot. This game seems to be largely running great as well from the little i have heard on it.
I've had one crash in the 50ish hours i've put into it but other then that i've had zero issues.
@Loamy yeah, I had to load up an earlier save after falling into that pit. Luckily I save quite regularly.
@ApostateMage probably just...
a demon!
@Alps_Stranger are you playing in base or Pro?
@captainsandman Base and in performance mode.
@Pat_trick I guess it was on the cliffs opposite the gipsy camp? I got stuck there, but as I didn't save for too long, I had to get out no matter what. I managed to run and jump into the v-geometry and flew out somehow after about 5 minutes of stress.
@pebz7 it was the only time I forgot to do regular saves 😩 typical!
I had only a few glitches within my 40 hours of playing the game. Once it crashed while in "save and exit to the menu" action. Two times the drinking sound didn't stop after using a potion while in combat. It didn't stop even after loading the latest save. But stopped after switching off the game completely and starting from the last save again. Oh and the runaway criminal from the mission where we had to track the blacksmith's wagon didn't get the search zone on the map. It was a pure luck that I found him as I have suggested that he would run to the first camp for the backup. And only later I have realised that it was a glitched mission.
God Dammit.... crashing the game by spamming keys in EULA screen was my primary playstyle....
I STILL can't learn the knight sword for crafting!
@Horizon_Rover Oh, nice! I resigned myself to my destiny and reloaded a save. Tbf I only lost 10 minutes, so not that unlucky.
Reading and learning the Knights sword recipe, does not appear after learning the recipe for smithing.
Customisable HUD? Oh...
Just 7 hours in to the first game and loving it despite a ropey start on my part. The only worry is should I go straight onto the second after this or play something else for fear of Henry overkill!
The game is still unplayable on PS5 due to the sound stuttering bug. 3 weeks after release and still no fix, that's really unprofessional and I can't understand that it got 10/10... Now that they sold 2 millions they will not care about fixing the game...
