Announced overnight during the State of Play livestream, SEGA has released a new PS5 demo for Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii on the PS Store. You'll be able to sample the Goro Majima-focused side game ahead of its release on 21st February 2025, with various sections of the full game available to try. While the game will also release on PS4, the demo is only on PS5.
During the playable teaser, you'll travel to the returning Honolulu resort as well as the new location Madlantis, where you can take the pirate ship for a spin. Your progress won't carry over to the full game as the demo sounds like more of an offering containing bits and pieces taken from the release rather than the actual story content.

Will you give the Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii PS5 demo a go? Let us know in the comments below.

I've just been playing this and the combat is so much fun and yes I had to visit Revolve Bar for a bit of Karaoke. I really can't wait for the full game
I don't understand these games at all and I feel like it's too late for me to get in the loop.
Downloading it as I type.
I will get this at some point. There is no game more important than Monster Hunter for me for the next few months.
@captainsandman Never too late. They’re worth your time.
I want to enjoy this series but the pacing is usually whack, and sometimes downright disrespectful of the player's time.
Just started, combat is fun as hell and badass. This game is going to rock.
@Steeleye25 how do you turn on the English dub or is it not available in the demo
Give the demo a download and try it after work. Really curious to see how the combat is.
Absolutely not I don't want to spoil anything
@lazarus11 Unfotunately it's not available in the demo.
This is a joke, I miss dinosaurs and unicorns.
Gave it a try and it was fun. Does anyone else have a problem with the games HDR? The blacks are really black and the whites are super bright.
@captainsandman not at all tbh. I was pretty late to the party too. I would t suggest them all though its a slog. Yakuza 0 to start or Like a Dragon for the new story arc if you don't mind turn based.
Not downloading.
Buying it Day 1 to go in completely blind.
I am so in for this. Pre-ordered. I love everything this company makes. They have not let me down yet....
@Kiefer-Sutherland Are you playing on a Phillips TV or similar? Everything true 4K darkens and it's difficult as hell to calibrate.
